I'm looking for affordable speakers for a possible LP120 purchase.

I have a $40 Jensen I bought several years ago (records sound terrible on it, always have) and I assume it's damaging records.

 

I woke up and my Carbon was sitting at my door step. Too bad I'm in the middle of a 9 hour shift. It feels like Christmas Eve and the day is dragging. I can't wait to go home and spin the new Weezee record on it (which also came today).

 

Anyone ever had this happen? I got a static electricity shock while plugging my iPod into the aux cord on my stereo a few days ago. Now, the speakers just produce a constant humming regardless of the audio source. I can only very faintly hear any audio from my iPod through aux or my turntable through the phono setting. From Googling around, I think my receiver is stuck in a ground loop, but I'm not sure and I have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas?

 

I just set up my Technics 1200. Listening to a whole bunch of records today. It has been skipping when I walk across the room, so I have to figure out a solution to that...the arm is weighted down on the maximum setting.

Recently bought the Wax Bodega exclusive colorway of Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties' Bittersweet 7". Just before that, I picked up American Idiot for $13 and free shipping.

 

Picked up Ben Folds' Rockin The Suburbs, The Menzingers' Rented World, and The Ataris' So Long Astoria at Amoeba in Berkeley today. Also ordered Manchester's Simple Math re-press on the flight out so i'm having a good vacation.

My girlfriend showed me the coolest record store I've ever seen yesterday. I can't wait to go back with money.

I grabbed Wildlife by La Dispute and Letters Home by Defeater.

I saw so much shit I wanted though, both Birds in Row albums, Bleeder by Mutoid Man, and so much more. I'm literally so excited.

 

which version? I stumbled upon the 2xLP Grey a while ago and it is one of my favorites.

Gotta ground that shit! Your reciever should have a ground port and I attach mine to the screw on holding on the faceplate of an outlet.
