Any one in here ever change their own needle/cartridge?
wife absolutely rulessssssss
I have and will be doing it again with my new vt95e cartridge I just got. Kinda nervous though. I have a vintage pioneer and hope the wires don’t break in the process. Also will be properly aligning it this time around.
Awesome. I've been thinking of doing it myself for the first time since owning my player but have been nervous about it. Is it not as difficult as I'm assuming?
Also, if you know of any cartridge's you'd recommend for a Rega P1, that'd be very helpful.
It seems harder than it is. Hardest part is taking the wires on and off and aligning the head. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube to boost your confidence. No recs for cartridges really. Ortofon is hard to go wrong with but I went the budget route with the audio technica cartridge.
my one vinyl i got day after Christmas aka today on sale at urban, then 40% off the sale price and had free money aka $5 from paypal from the other day from a offer they did. total was only 12.75 not a bad deal
Post holiday treat yo self
Didn't realize that there was a Swoon repress, so I was ecstatic when I saw it
It sounds phenomenal. The lick after the first chorus in Step Into You *chef kiss*
Beyond thrilled to finally own this
Edit: it sounds incredible
Kind of random, but do any of you use an acrylic mat? If so, do you put the record directly onto the mat? Thinking of getting one for my AT-120 but am reading different things online on whether or not would still need an additional mat.
Not expecting much of a difference in sound since it’s still an AT-120, but that mat it comes with attracts so much dust that I want to try something different
Just picked up Thrice’s Palms and NFG’s Radiosurgery
I have that same repress from Newbury Comics. They have some great prints. Make sure you subscribe to the newsletter.
Last one left at my local Target. Couldnt not get it.
Really enjoyed the movie and the soundtrack. How is it?
I wish the tracks were longer and the packaging is pretty bare bones but otherwise a very nice press and only $16.
Theres another record with Jon Batiste's jazz tracks that I plan on picking up.
Agreed! Best sounding record of 2020 and my AOTY!!! That chug for the verse riff in Step Into You is perfection.
Finally perfected the vinyl setup. This was me vibing on Christmas night.
Just bought myself an original pressing of NIN Broken EP as a late Christmas present to myself.
Has the 7” that has Physical and Suck on it too. V excited.
My record player is spinning just slightly too fast, and everything’s up like a single tone. Any ideas what I can do to fix it?
Not to flex too hard
