Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

So I went a LITTLE crazy buying vinyl.

The Dangerous Summer- Mother Nature (Ocean mix variant)

Linkin Park- One More Light(180 gram)

Angels and Airwaves- I-Empire (orange haze variant)

Alkaline Trio- My Shame Is True (180 gram)

Matt Skiba And The Sekrets- KUTS (white variant)

Bring Me The Horizon- Sempiternal (metallic gold variant)

    blink-182- Greatest Hits(clear variant)

    John Nolan- Abendigo (blue variant)

  2. Just scored a copy of The Albatross on clear blue w/ orange splatter for $2.50 thanks to a store credit that I completely forgot about until I was standing at the checkout counter

  3. Has anyone here ever worked with a website that lets you create your own record and then presses it onto a lathe? I've thought about making my own bootleg record or a mix of some random songs, but not sure if it's worth the price to do it, as I'd most likely only be making one copy, which would be between $30-50, depending on who I order through. I understand the audio quality isn't nearly as good as a vinyl record, but I think it would be fun to do as a gift or something for someone, or just to have in my collection.

I don’t think that bit about the sound is true.

  5. From the small amount of research I've done, it looks like every company is a little different. Some are lower quality, some are comparable to vinyl. Depends on what they use/how they do it, I guess.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

Lathes were typically pressed to give executives in the ‘70’s an idea of what a band was working on. They were only meant for maybe 15-20 quality plays before they would start to degrade. I’ve been trying to hunt down a meaningful lathe for years. But I guess I can’t tell you the quality of them today.

I started posting on Instagram again, for anyone interested in more redundant vinyl content.

Does anyone have The Swellers’ Ups and Downsizing that they’re willing to part with without gouging?

If anyone is seeing Grayscale on tour soon, I’d pay you for the record (obviously) and your time, if you copped me their olive green variant of Adornment.

FINALLY got my hands on this album. Very hard to find a color variant in good condition that was under $60. Seller was from Germany and graciously knocked the price down to $45 for me. Makes 76 records in my collection now

Receiving vinyl doesn’t have the same warm feeling as opening a CD did, but seeing the right variant/cover combo gets pretty close.

I honestly have more of a warm feeling getting vinyl. Especially as a preorder from a new album.

This could be because when I was younger I either illegally downloaded it or bought them from CD/Game Exchange in super cheap/very used states

Good guy, but a bad dude

Got my copy of Bad Books III. Only thing I hate is it's got that billowy sleeve deal. Where the gatefold always wants to stay open and the cardboard is squished so that it's open all the time.

    Sounds great tho
