Well I just bought a U-Turn. Rough dropping that much money at once but I’ve been eyeing one for a couple of years, all but $70 was Christmas money, and I’ll get tons of use out of it. Excited for it to get here!

 

I’ve been looking at them for months. What color/finish did you go with?

 

I went with the walnut. I was looking at green, black, and white as well but figured the walnut would look good no matter what room it’s in. Cool that they’re a local company too.

 

Nice I just ordered mine too! I ended up going with the white finish, got the cue lever and built in preamp. Did you do any other upgrades? Since it hasn't shipped out yet I'm still thinking of asking to add the cork mat and acrylic platter.

 

I eventually bought a cork mat over time. Managed to get a cool one from Turntable Lab x Keith Haring collection:

I just went with the basic platter because I figured I could easily upgrade that later. Got the built-in preamp and the Ortofon OM 5E cartridge. I’m so anxious for it to get here haha.

I have a Black Mile to the Surface slipmat and I doubt I'll ever use anything else.

 

I wonder how soon SRC posts about the MCS repress. I would still rather have the 7inch box set which I stupidly turned down a year ago, but any pressing would be a score.

 

I have that 7” box set but am still getting the repress.

 

Where's the MCS repress at?

Just got The Maine Can’t Stop Won’t Stop vinyl in today. Wish it had more gold splatter, but sounds great...

They don’t record all that often but I really enjoy the podcast. One of the hosts runs Limited To One in NYC! The discussion on hip-hop and vinyl buying was super interesting, it’s crazy how many of those records have such insane aftermarket prices.

The repress of Hot Damn! from Creep records is delayed at least a month. Ugh

Finally upgraded to a Uturn after months of not having a working turntable. I love it.
