Such a great album, and the vinyl package as a whole is really cool. Individually hand-cut in real time on a vinyl lathe, full lyric booklet, and random 35mm photos from the process of making the album.

I've been off social media for 5 years now but decided to make an anonymous IG account in order to share, catalog, and interact with other music fans and homebrewers. Feel free to add me if you'd like and if you don't mind photos of beer as well.

Also picked up a used copy of Have Mercy - The Earth Pushed Back at my local shop today.

How does your copy of TLOP sound? Been debating picking up a copy but wasn't sure what the bootleg would sound like.

Don't understand the point in buying bootlegs. Seems like a waste of money imo.

I can see the appeal for an album you love that hasn't been pressed before and may not ever be pressed. I don't understand how some are worth so much though, that seems ridiculous to me.

So I can listen to albums I love on vinyl and have them in my collection.

I don't see the point of not buying bootlegs lol

Only bootleg I bought was The Killers Hot Fuss before the repress. Spent like $45 on it and the sound was incredibly disappointing. When I got the repress I just framed the bootleg so now it hangs in my apartment. I'm not going to get anymore after that haha.

Yep haha, stopped in while perusing the park ave fest. Those were literally like the last 2 records from this scene.

They almost always seem like they're super poor quality, which is my personal reasoning for not buying them. I bought Kanye bootlegs a while back and just hated everything about them. I get the appeal I guess? I'd rather buy an official release though.

Yea! Super sad. I guess they couldn't compete with record archive. There isn't a lot left in there though after this weekend but the whole store is 30% off

Very sad, however I'd be much more sad if it was Record Archive closing!

I agree with this sentiment! I wouldn't buy a bootleg of anything that was reasonably accessible in print. I own a couple of Tool bootlegs because one of the originals is like $400+ and one of them has never been pressed. They sound great too. Obviously I would prefer the original but there are a few records that may never be pressed that I still want to be able to throw on my turntable.

I might be interested in a few of these. What are you looking for? Any bands/records specifically?

I'm an open book. If you've got a Discogs I'm all ears.

Yea they announced it not too long ago on Facebook. I didn't go often tbh but that seemed like a great neighborhood for a record store. Record archive is in such a random place.

Record Archive is my favorite place in Rochester. Just went there on Friday and spent 50 dollars I should not have spent.
