I very much appreciate in a world where a lot of represses (looking at you, Parting Gift) are $35-40 that Field Day kept Chroma at $30 knowing full well they'd have sold just as many at a higher price.

There's a bunch of 90's albums I'd love to own for the right price. Soul Asylum's "Grave Dancer's Union", Our Lady Peace's "Clumsy", Gin Blossoms "New Miserable Experience", stuff like that. One of these days I'll probably browse Discogs with a few drinks in me and go on a shopping spree.

The last time that happened I ended up adding a bunch of John Mellencamp records to my shelf. No regrets.

Cartel first run sold out. Field Day says hang tight on a second press.

Gonna Ride My Palomino, Ride 'im to the Fair.

Honestly, just last week I was thinking about not buying this (on black) when I saw them a few years ago and was miffed it wasn't on vinyl anymore...
Anyone else want me to pine for a record? Maybe I can magically make it happen.

But seriously, I absolutely LOVE this album.
I love their second album more... but it is MUCH pricier:

Yeah Im bias since I'm basically basing my opinion on their biggest blase song. I just ordered the cd of BMG Music Club back when we were in high school haha.

All 3 of those are still pretty much available I'm pretty sure!

Gin Blossoms is a solid album front to back. Pieces of the Night is such a lovely song.

OLP Clumsy was THE album of 96-97 up here in Canada. Half the album was on the radio on heavy rotation, every music video from that album topping the Much Music countdown. It was a wild time.

My hidden gem is Soul Asylum "Let Your Dim Light Shine" I probably still know all the words to that album off by heart 30 years later. I do still need Grave Dancers Union on vinyl though!

Since you brought up OLP, I would love I Mother Earth "Scenery and Fish" on vinyl. That is another staple from those years. @adtron4000 can attest to that!

K you got me Adam. I'll revisit their stuff, lol. You never steered me wrong in our teenage years when it came to music!

Just spinning cd's and staying up all night with whatever N64 and/or PS1 game we rented from Blockbuster.

It'd be great if you could pine over Eve 6's Horrorscope, would love a repress of that!

I saw OLP play at the Rock Hall in the early 2000's for MTV and got really into them. Never really broke through in the US outside of the Gravity record (which somehow only has two pressings), but a friend of mine was obsessed with them and introduced me. I haven't kept up with them, but I know those two records + Naveed like the back of my hand.

I don't really know that Soul Asylum record other than "Misery" but saw them tour on Grave Dancers in Cleveland with my mom when I was like 13 or 14. Lots of good memories.

Gravity is my favorite OLP album, which makes me an absolute sicko.

Yeah 90s Canadian staples like OLP, I Mother Earth, The Tea Party, Matthew Good Band, Sloan, and of course the biggest of them all The Tragically Hip all amazing bands that toured the US a bunch but never broke big. The Hip and their songs are basically our national anthems up here.

As for OLP I kinda fell off after Clumsy. I do have Happiness... On cd but I started to feel all their songs started to song the same... I will say "Somewhere Out There" off Gravity is a banger!

That's awesome I'd love to see Soul Asylum. I'd recommend Let Your Dim Light Shine. It's got some weird songs like Caged Rat. But deep cuts like I Did My Best and Tell Me When. Dave Pirner is a great lyricist. He made funeral and urinal rhyme in String of Pearls lol.

They seem to come up here and play random weekend festivals in suburb towns from time to time.
