Well that’s a huge personal bonus for me - I was not at all aware that they had reunited and have a new record releasing on Friday! Dunno how I missed that

 

Also for the folks stoked for Athletics. As per my coversation with PGR just now.

This is a SHORT pre order and they hope to have them in hand by Mid June!

They also mentioned that they'll be teasing another drop in 2 weeks. In hand and something on the heavier side of things.

Couldn't recommend this band enough if you're a fan of Post Rock tings.

 

Absolutely no idea how licensing and re-pressings of vinyl works, but what are the chances someone takes on blink's catalog to do a repressing of past material? I know Geffen has been doing black represses over the years, but I'm thinking in the vein of like SRC before they went defunct. Is that something a company would likely take on to create a new slew of color vinyl releases or is that something a company would likely avoid?

 

I loved this band in high school. haven't really returned to them much so I won't be purchasing, but glad to see they're getting the vinyl treatment

 

Licensing costs are probably way too high now. And I think nowadays the major labels are more willing to do the pressings themselves rather than license them out like they did a decade ago.
