Should've gotten +44 a while ago, looks like it's sold out. Going to get Cartel self-titled now so I can get ahead of another one that might be out of print soon

definitely an album i feel like would not get a re-press but kinda like the last NFG album i don't love and only want to complete the collection ... looks like I have 19 bucks in points, so it's only like 15 bucks. might do it.

I bought Cartel S/T some time last year and :knocks on wood: it arrived without issue and packaged well.

 

If it makes you feel any better, after my Novo Amor debacle I ordered Pet Sounds and it’s so near perfect condition that you would think it was pressed specifically for me. Wildly inconsistent game Amazon is playing haha.

It was dirt cheap at SRC Vinyl's Canadian store for what felt like forever, but shipping to the US made it not worth it. Will probably pull the trigger one of these days on a copy from Discogs, they pop up every now under $30.

 

The seller saw that it got scanned in so they ran over to their post office (on a Sunday), knocked on the door and luckily someone let them in. They took the package back home and re-printed the corrected shipping label.

Made them work for that sale price. haha.

Man up until recently the Canadian site was still up and they were still sitting on copies of Juliana Theory Love forever and I didn't snag one. Also they had Cartel self titled for $8 cdn for like years haha.

Guess they finally decided to scrap the store and just brew beer.

 

I got mine at Barnes and Noble because I don't mess with Amazon. No discount, but convinced myself it was a good deal by grabbing some cheaper sale records for free shipping.

 

I need to give self-titled another listen. Remember not liking much besides a few songs.

Would love to add Cycles to my collection though.

 

Realizing that the Chroma re-record would complete(-ish) my collection (not counting original Chroma or the EP). Self-titled might be my second favorite by them, but Collider is my favorite, so coming from a different place with the band. Something sunny and nostaglic about the record that has always stuck with me, will be nice to get on wax.

 

Are they going to hand deliver it?

 

Man getting my Velocity Records order for Thursday and DRUGS the other day and hearing about Dave Shapiro... Such a huge loss for the scene.

I was thinking about Count the Stars the other day too, and would've loved if Victory/Craft pressed that album.

Yeah I've got friends who toured with bands he worked with. They're pretty gutted.

 

Yeah I caved and paid the international shipping to get Love from there a few years ago

 

I tried having a friend in the area pick Cartel up in person for around that price and ship it to me along with a bunch of candy, but after seeing how he shipped something from Dine Alone for me, I'm glad I didn't. Padded envelope inside another padded envelope. :(
