stopped by Preserving last year when i saw Silent Planet (who also played there). despite some iffy things i've heard about the management, they have a fantastic selection. might have to visit again. will look into The Attic! thanks!

 

Hoping we get a Year of the Black Rainbow repress this year since it's 15 years anniversary is this year. I only need that, hoping Afterman albums get repressed, and Vaxis I to complete my Coheed discography.

Does anyone pair their record player to Google Nest / Google speaker groups?

I have a Nest Audio and few Mini’s around the house but haven’t been able to pair my Audio Technica to the speaker group in the past using the Google Home app. I was wondering if anyone’s had success with the Nest Hub since there’s a screen that may help with this issue.

Or if anyone has any recommendations for better speakers, I’m open to suggestions. I bought these a few years ago during a sale and they have been great to play using my phone but would like to incorporate playing my records through them as well.

 

i have an ancient Google Home Mini that i was able to pair to my AT-LP120XBT via Bluetooth last month. didn't sound great, but it did work and had a robust connection considering that it nearly maxed out the Bluetooth range between the turntable (in my living room) and the Mini (in my bedroom).

A Chroma repress isn’t happening. The band has re-recorded it and will release that version. The label won’t let them repress it or was asking for too much money to do so. I forget the details now.

hoping for a Loathe announcement and preorder within the next month or two (they're playing a new song on tour with Spiritbox, and they told some fans after one of the shows that the album is done and coming imminently).

mentioned this in another thread, but i'm hoping that Carly Rae Jepsen's E•MO•TION gets the 10 year anniversary pressing it deserves. put all the bonus tracks and B-sides from that album cycle in one package and call it E•MO•T10N or something like that.
