Well I finally finished scanning all my records into Discogs and yeah my estimate is no way close to ya'll lol

Didn't have many records with wild estimates. Surprisingly my copy of folklore sold for $315, but nothing else in my collection passed $200.

 

Yeah idk what’s been going on with Folklore but it feels like they’ve suddenly been selling for hundreds. That album was never super high up in my value and now my two copies are #1 and #11 in median

 

guess it depends on the variant. there were like 9 or 10 versions, and i think 8 of them are out of print

 

Last summer I saw how much my copy of Folklore was worth so I sold it and bought the Target version for like $19 on sale. It's my favorite TS album, but when you can make a swap like that, it doesn't matter which version I have.

 

That seems like a much more expensive route than the $500 listed on the high end there.

 

Taylor's Long Pond goes for stupid amounts as well.

I sold her Beautiful Eyes CDEP that I bought at Walmart for ten bucks in 2008 a few years back. Sold it for about $200 CDN.

If I could go back in time and buy all the stock. Geeeeeeez haha.

I’m trying to remember how this all went down. Did SRC end up pressing/releasing that triple 7” edition of TOYPAJ after Mightier Than Sword’s long delay on it? That MTS pre order dragged on for so long, I just asked for a refund eventually. In hindsight though, I wish I held out longer for that whole set.

 

I think folks are maged out.

Well at least I know 3 of 25 have been claimed. Haha.

Yes, MTS had the TOYPAJ stuff ready to press and everything and then they went defunct. SRC took over and used the same stamps MTS was going to use to do the TOYPAJ pressing.

EDIT: My conspiracy is that MTS just turned into SRC and are also now out of business.

 

somedays I wish I never sold that boxset but I did get a lot of money for it so who's to say
