I think it was fairly recent that Kayleigh Malloy joined as a full-time member of Catbite. I’ll find out for sure soon enough! Haha I didn’t see anything specific in the press release yet…

 

yah i just saw someone else added in the new music video but when i saw them they were definitely a four piece

Looks like IVC way oversold their Brand New album and had to refund a bunch of orders.

 

Yup. Not thrilled. They gave a 20 percent coupon but I don't want anything in there. I just want my IVC damnit!

 

Did they really sell thru 3k of those??

Yeah the email said "due to a technical issue" so I'm gonna go with oversold.

 

Is it possible that the average casual Brand New fan just doesn't know?

 

how do we define casual? people just now discovering them through playlists? because if you exclude those folks, i imagine everyone else aware of their music and the events surrounding their 2017 comeback knew why that comeback was cut short 3 months after Science Fiction dropped

 

I don't know how many there are, but I do remember a lot of people who didn't listen to "scene" music who listened to Brand New. Or maybe that many people really do know and just don't care.

I know it's IVC but was it actually a new master or anything? Or the same as the current 2 LP you can buy on their website? (Yes I know it had the exclusive 7" (EYEROLL))

 

I didn’t buy it, but out of curiosity I checked out the IVC site like 6 hours after the record went live and it was still available for purchase. Thought it was surprising that it was taking them that long to sell out, but now I guess this makes sense.

 

People were able to purchase this for days after release. It wasn't an immediate sellout. From what I can piece together, there were issues with orders stated "Shipped" with no tracking info, and then missing Shipping Address field in the orders too. The oddest part is it seems the majority of cancelled orders were from the first day, and people who ordered 4-5 days later got their order. Something really screwed up in IVC's system for this release.
