Nahh I'm good bud. I only had The City Sleeps In Flames on vinyl to and sold it last year to @Freud. That and the first EP were the only stuff I listened to of SKSJ

40-50 is pretty standard for double LP these days

 

Yeah, I caved on the This Desert Life and Hard Candy a couple years ago and got the boots, which actually sound good and look great. I'd still buy official pressings, obviously, but that band has proved to be pretty bad at managing their own legacy (I was just talking with a friend about how ripe their catalog is for archival releases to unearth all their b-sides and bonus tracks) and I just have zero confidence that they're actually going to get those albums pressed.

 

I am really digging Sunday (1994).

 

Was very excited to see SmartPunk's email about the new SKSK vinyl! Was immediately deflated to see it was $42 before shipping/taxes? What? Are we really making 2LP's for $40 the norm now? Seriously has me reconsidering my needs vs wants.

The somber, shoegazey indie pop and their 1950's Hollywood aesthetic is just perfection.

Been fanboying messaging Paige and Lee of the band the past 24 hours. Haha they're really nice. Very stoked for their first headlining show in Toronto show in May... It's the only date on their first NA headlining tour to sell out so far!

Lee the guitarist responded to my story about those JAMC "Darklands" guitar tones on their new track Doomsday. All he said was "nailed it".

I've listened to Doomsday at least 20 times today. I'm obsessed!!

I don't enable people to buy vinyl *cough cough* but go buy the record. It sounds phenomenal and has all the deluxe EP tracks on it. It's essentially a full length!

But yes, those two records are so good and deserve big, beautiful vinyl pressings. I really thought it was only a matter of time after these repressed AAEA and RTS, but that was like a decade ago and there's been no movement since.

Would also love Across a Wire (there's a boot of this, I haven't pulled the trigger) and Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (not even a bootleg exists of that one).

Ive read interviews with Adam discussing This Desert Life in vinyl. Honestly it just needs to happen. I have August and Recovering 2027 pressings. People griped about it but honestly they sound great for what they are.

 

I wish they'd stop putting these up in the middle of the night (for me)
