Thanks so much for your purchase of Taking Inventory Of A Frozen Lake / White Bikes on vinyl. We decided to do something different this time. Normally we make 7 inches in Czech Republic and 12 inches in New Jersey. This time we did it differently as we were shocked and abhorred by the devastation that Hurricane Helene wrecked amongst the artistic community of Asheville. North Carolina. Therefore for this pressing we utilized an artistic collective in Asheville to manufacture the vinyl. We felt it necessary to try and give back to artists in a community who in some cases lost everything.

Unfortunately some of the vinyl arrived late and we are about a week behind schedule as a consequence.

All the records are currently being boxed and will be sent out at the top of the week.

We apologize for the delay but as consequence have upgraded what we are sending you. Each vinyl comes with a handmade White Bikes spoke card (remember the joy we all used to get when we put a playing card in the spokes of push bikes as kids to make that chooka chooka chooka sound - now we can do it once again!) and instead of a Frozen Lake memorial card, we have instead included a T.I.O.A.F.L. 10 by 10 inch limited edition card quality poster into each package of the initial run. These are highly limited and will never be produced again. Last time we sold something like this - it was $40 so it’s our way of saying thanks.

Once again, we apologize for the delay and hope the wait Is worth it for you. We have spent our entire careers having record labels tell us ‘you sold tens of thousands of records and owe us hundreds of thousands of dollars’ or streaming services telling us, you have a million plays but then finding out that we cannot afford a cup of coffee. This little online bodega that we started has changed all that.

By cutting out the waste, we have been able to provide unemployed merch and tickets. We have been able to use independent, artistic vendors and indulge our wider network of friends and family with work in these hard times.

We know that there are many options and many ways to spend money and we are so grateful that you have chosen to be patrons for Thursday. The reason that we are touring and the reason there is new music in 2024 and 2025 is because of you. It couldn’t be any more simpler than that. You and you alone are responsible for our new music as you have given us true freedom and freed us from the bonds of contract.

We love you and cannot wait for you to get your packages next week.

went for this one too. i think every Underoath album i own/pre-ordered now has some sort of deluxe packaging (if you count the box the Observatory set came in "deluxe")

That mock up better come out looking like my Cave In "Silent Pendulum" /150 damnit, or I demand them to press An Act of Depression and Cries of the Past Hahaha.

I also missed the new Pelican album pre orders on Run For Cover today!

 

I was going to post about Pelican but got side tracked at work. They all sold out?!

 

All the sweet colors did. Just the orange left. I even debated subbing to their Magic Circle but the link is down so I assume that's sold out too.

They had a bundle with the orange variant and a special 7" that had their single b/w with the same song but Geoff Rickly on vox!

They're touring this summer so maybe they'll have the cloudy blue band variant with them by then. I haven't seen them since 2007!

 

This is so cool. Can't wait for it to arrive.

The Underoath deluxe edition looks cool, but I'm probably just going to wait for my local shop to post a preorder option to avoid the shipping cost. I assume it'll just be the basic red one, but I don't think I can justify an extra ~$40 just for the heat reactive sleeve haha.

 

Trying to decide if I want to splurge on the "deluxe" for Underoath. I was pretty disappointed with the Voyeurist one, and this seems to be in a similar vein. But also I still kind of want it.

 

Finally getting through the recent accquisions.

Got a free copy of Hesitation Wounds from the Jacob Bannon sale when I ordered a copy of Killing the Dream so that's cool.

Also, Pezcore is a beauty. Only gripe is the massive seam split in the printed inner from the record (yet they shipped the record out of the actual gatefold) ironic.

Regardless, Rude Records has been doing a top notch job with their releases as of late!

Also the lack of an insert with The Used is so lame.
