it’s nuts that an album that is technically a reunion album is probably their best

Blushing only slightly beats out Ixora for me. Copeland is a band whose latest album is always an improvement on their last album, but that their entire discography is great.

  3. I hadn’t bought anything in a while and I ended up buying two records I only kinda like / def the worst ones in a band’s catalog but I wanted to complete the full collection for them both.

Felt weird not having one and only one LP from each missing.

Still no word from the Postal Service about the other package. I talked to a neighbor at my old building and they said it’s not at the mail room. So … I’m worried now.

  4. Been feeling in the same boat haha - I almost grabbed the new pressing of Caspian’s On Circles just because I was killing time at the record store and haven’t added anything to the collection in a few months. Love the album but it’s a 2xLP with two songs on each side, which is a deterrent for me. Talked myself out of it but the itch is real

money is a little tight right now, so i'm limiting myself to the new Thornhill album preorder before payday (assuming it's announced in the next couple days with their next single)

They fixed your brain when you were young.

But the packaging is really nice. Embossed cover.

  8. I noticed that! It would be one of like two albums in my collection to be literally Grammy nominated for its packaging haha

  10. Nah, it’s the self titled Mura Masa record. That one’s not embossed but I think it has some cool glossy lettering or something. Coincidentally I think I bought it in 2018 for the same reason - just had the itch while walking around Amoeba

I’ve decided this is the best album to play on vinyl. So many goddamn instruments and different sounds meticulously mixed to utter perfection—I have no clue how they did it.

Well you seen it here then. I'll give it a go but I haven't really dived into any of their recent albums since they came back with Erase Me. It's good but I don't fiend their stuff like I used to.

spin Voyeurist if you haven't. it gets closer to their older material than Erase Me did (and maybe a bit closer than some of the singles from this next album)

I'm not overly critical of Underoath's musical choices. I've enjoyed everything since Safety.
