I have a Russian copy of three imaginary boys i found used in my local shop a few years ago. Great snag!

 

Hell yeah. Been eyeing used copies on discogs so glad I've held out.

Least favorite chiodos album but it's not like we're ever getting any Yesterday's Rising pressed.

 

Anyone else annoyed how labels/sellers provide a tracking number and it stays in the “label created” state for DAYS? I am not the most patient person, but 5 days or more to send out a product is just BS and scammer behavior. Rant over

 

So…does Merchbar actually sell records or just take orders and ghost people?

Been over a month since I ordered stuff during their Labor Day sale and nothing has moved and they don’t reply to emails.

 

Same here. This is getting ridiculous. Good to know it’s not just me.

 

I foolishly attempted to order from them again. I kept it small. Just the first 3 Ataris records. Which is what I tried last time. And nothing yet. Finally emailed yesterday or the day before and got an automated “we’re getting a lot of requests right now “ emails. LOL

How long do I wait to cancel this time?

 

I’m just relieved I didn’t do a major order. I kept it at 2 when I had 5-6 in my cart. Could’ve been worse.

 

I’ve been around this thread long enough to know to stay far away from Merchbar. Their sales are a trap.

yeah, i've never ordered from Merchbar, but have always seen that they list items as in stock when they're out of stock everywhere else, so ordering from them and expecting something is kind of a crapshoot. have also seen horror stories where Merchbar orders end up completely fucked in transit, so i just don't risk it.

 

Merchbar did right by me for a year and now two in a row shit shows.

Good to know. I’m just going to cancel my Merchbar order now then and never interact with them again.

 

I refuse to post anything merchbar on here. I've never ordered from them and all I hear is it's a waiting game 9 times out of 10 to never getting their order.

 

Never order anything that's on backorder because you won't get it. Otherwise I haven't had any issues with them.

 

That was my experience for a year. But I’ve done only in stock items these last two and it doesn’t seem to make a difference anymore.

 

I’m 3/4 with Merchbar, and will say that 1 bad time was just me playing the waiting game until deciding to cancel and then being immediately refunded. As long as their service desk is responsive I’ll always take the chance on them if I can’t find it elsewhere and they claim to have it in stock

 

Yeah they're hit or miss.... I've done orders with them (NEVER backorder) that took less than a week and then they took like 2 weeks and then some that took over a month to which I just cancelled.

Most important thing is to never ever order anything backordered.

It is a bit underwhelming this year... I may try and get The Gaslight Anthem live on 10", but other than that I don't see why they felt the need to press 25,000 copies of Billie Eilish's isolated vocals on her new album. Could be the big item this year, much like Taylor's Long Pond Sessions from a year ago.

 

Better Than Ezra - Deluxe I'd possibly be interested in.
