Got the splatter. The /200 sold out while I was checking out. Didn't expect the demand to be that high!

 

Their best album IMO.

 

I wonder how The Guest Revisited sounds? I missed out on that one. They had a few damaged ones for sale.

 

I'm not sure if I'd put it above The Guest, but it is right up there. I love how they took their sound in completely different directions on every album. I need to spend some more time with their comeback record.

Got confirmation of someone very close to the band that we are NOT getting a repress of Saosin's Self-Titled. We will be getting a re-recorded press, a la Taylor's Version style. I know this was already semi-confirmed in this thread and the Sao thread, but figured I'd add my findings.

Truly bummed I sold my self titled copy a couple years back.

My little early birthday gift to myself, Chee Shimizu’s untranslated book of rare, underrated albums, many of which have seen reissues. Over 200 pages of recommendations from artists all over the world, mostly the weird stuff, organized into sections that make it easy to follow along considering all the blurbs are written in the original Japanese—but at least the headlines and album titles are in English. Can’t wait to enhance my music discovery journey with this thing.

Tempting. I never really play the copy I bought 10 or so years ago because it’s a double LP - Greg’s Last Day and acoustic Best Of Me are tacked onto the end. The D side etching is cool though

 

And ordered.

I suspect it’ll be similar to the Thursday repress last year.

Hopefully the rest will be repressed since I slept on all of those when they were readily available back in the day!
