My wallet is upset but oh boy did I snag a deal today.

 

Just saw he left me a negative review last night before I could even respond.

 

This person’s a complete idiot.

 

My favorite ska band Dance Hall Crashers just announced a repress of one of my all time favorite albums Lockjaw to commemorate its 29th anniversary. After some glitches showing it was sold out for a day and some messages back and forth with Karina they got things resolved. More expensive than most vinyl but it's being released by the band themselves. So worth every penny for me!

 

That DHC album on vinyl is a dream come true.

God no, I think it’s the most recent pressing. Either way hasn’t been available in a minute on Discogs and it’s on my want list so I jumped.

yeah I ended up buying that pressing a few months back too, wasn’t cheap but was well worth it bc my copy sounds amazing.

 

alright, here are the finds. i figured it was coming based on the hints he dropped, but for my 30th birthday, my partner drove me to several record stores across Pennsylvania to go record shopping. the first was in Mechanicsburg, and we didn't really find anything. the next was Siren Records in Doylestown, which was a super welcoming vibe with some cool stuff. given both Circa Survive and Balance and Composure's connections to the area, it wasn't surprising to hear the desk worker tell us that Anthony Green pops in on the regular and signs stuff for free. it's also probably why i was able to find the Live at Studio 4 recording of The Things We Think We're Missing. also grabbed Peripheral Vision (because this thing is obviously a classic but across 12 pressings, i've somehow never had the chance to grab it. the last place we stopped was the TikTok famous Spin Me Round in Easton, which had a great selection and super helpful staff. was able to snag the last couple copies of the latest Chappell Roan and Knocked Loose records, while my partner found a Pupil Slicer album he had wanted for a bit. all in all a good time.

 

Went a little crazy on spending at the record store today on these OG presses

 

siren records is so awesome. love that place. its over an hour drive for me, but still try to get there atleast 4 times a year. may not always walk out with something, but still a great store, selection, and vibe.

 

I now own my favorite mxpx album on wax!
