Popped into a second-hand record shop on my way to the pub and found a copy of Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy 10th Anniversary Box Set! One of my all-time favourite albums!

Ended up grabbing the Cloudy Green Haze TOCS to replace my Observatory copy and I'm simultaneously happy and not happy about it.

  11. I haven't listened to this band since I found out the lead singer went full MAGA. I wonder how they hold up. I remember liking Underdog Alma Mater in 2008, but don't think I ever listened to anything else.

Those 2008-2009 emo bands were either awful or great. I just got an acid flashback to My Favorite Highway and Holiday Parade.

Im surprised you listened to / were into them? Since the early ‘00’s, I tend to follow your lead on music suggestions and don’t recall you mentioning them. But then again my brain is mush and I can’t remember shit these days.

  16. It was just that one album. And a brief moment. Ahah

  18. Never even heard of that Forever the Sickest Kids album. I only knew the one that has “She’s a Lady.” I guess I fell off of that band harder than I thought haha.

I’ve always had a soft spot for this song and I’m not sure why

  20. Coincidentally, that EP came before the album you’re referring to and also has She’s A Lady on it haha

I remember all the MySpace kids being mad about the objectively better-sounding versions of that and “Hey Brittany” that made the album haha

There is not a day in the turn of the decade when urban outfitters was the peak of cool that I ever thought they would sell an Underoath album

That Urban Outfitters variant looks much cooler than the cornetto I ordered. Oh well!

I remember really liking a song by them but I can’t figured out which one it is now.

Found it - The Way She Moves. The chorus is still catchy but don’t know what I saw in that song back in the day.
