It sounds good! Silent when the needle drops and pretty dynamic in the sound quality between highs/lows. I’d recommend buying it!

I think I got a slightly heavier splatter than @scottlechowicz but still not super impressed. Not really disappointed either, but I wanted more of the purple in there.

WHen I saw I was tagged in here I got nervous that I was gonna come in here and find a vinyl pre-order I needed to drop money on lol.

    Glad that wasn't the case.

I feel like I’m usually underwhelmed by splatter variants (at least when compared to mockups)

I wouldn't say usually, but it does happen. I think the Menzingers splatter I posted above came out perfect, exactly how I pictured it. But sometimes I stay away from splatter variants because the mock ups are just way too busy, even though they don't usually come out as heavy as they're pictured.

ooh, where did you snag the HEALTH LP? been looking for that one but didn't want to pay outrageous prices for it. it's sold out on their merch store, otherwise i'd use my Patreon discount.

I have no idea how I slept on Health but man they're so good. "cum metal" haha. I was debating grabbing a scalper ticket to their sold out Toronto show. I bet their shows are wild.

Nabbed it off Loma Vista! You're welcome :)

i'd also recommend picking up Rat Wars from LV if possible, as the best variant (the red one) is sold out on HEALTH's site (assuming you haven't preordered already, haha).

Thanks to Max Payne 3, I got into HEALTH. That soundtrack ruled.

my old roommate always played that game but usually had it sitting in the background on the load menu, so i heard the music a lot without knowing it was them. i think i finally started listening when they did their NIN collab.

We reach for the longest shadow

Man I have some strong nostalgia over that Maylene album. I remember being on a youth group trip on a bus (yes I’m from Alabama) and one of my friends was like, listen to this, it’s the old singer from Underoath, and it was Caution… blew my mind. Pretty sure that album made learn how to play drop D riffs on guitar….

    I should buy it.

  23. I have to pick up Vapor Transmission soon. I haven't listened to it for a long time, but so much nostalgia for that album!

Currently spinning the new blink Untitled pressing. Sounds good, not great. There’s some pretty annoying surface noise, which a good cleaning will hopefully resolve. Really wish I had the SRC pressing. I have the SRC of the greatest hits, and the Untitled tracks on there sound superior to this pressing. Better separation. Punchier.
