I went to that show in Toronto. TAI never played because I think the drummer had a death in the family. I met Patrick after the show. Pete was sick as a dog and threw up outside before the encore. Lol. I remember they played Sugar Were Going Down and it was their new track at the time! Great show before they broke big!

Would love a pressing of any of the albums by Inkwell but I feel like I’m their only fan who ever existed so it’s unlikely

I literally texted my friend last night saying that yesterday I received 4 separate notifications on 4 different vinyl sales. I said “please be proud of me cause I haven’t boughten a single one”

Welp lol. That UO deal was way too good to pass up. Was able to grab Thrice, Yellowcard, Knuckle Puck, Andrew, and BlesstheFall all for under $50. What an absolute steal.

I got The Used self titled, Yellowcard - Southern Air, Thrice - AITA Revisited, Trophy Eyes - Sunshine and Suicide and Phoenix - Alpha Zulu for like $39 before shipping. What a steal!

yeah, getting Blue Banisters for $5 is a no-brainer. too bad it's gone. there is an UO like a mile from me though, so i might swing by later and see what they have.

I ordered from UO yesterday, and it got cancelled pretty quickly. Support said it was something about a hold, but I'm wondering whether it's just that the PVRIS record I tried to order wasn't actually in stock and they cancelled the whole thing because of that.

 

On the topic of other weird order things:

I finally heard back from 6131, and they said that that the Rat Tally release was cancelled (which is a disappointment - that record is really good). They didn't say anything about the rest of my order yet, but I guess it's good to have some communication on that front.

Midtown Comics also wrote back saying that the What's The Furthest Place From Here issue with the Julien Baker/Sharon Van Etten 7" is now scheduled for 1/24/24. I'm skeptical that this is actually happening at this point, given that I placed my order on 2/25/22. Fingers crossed, though.

 

I got a letter today basically telling me that SCP is officially bankrupt and there are currently no assets to get a refund from. Which, I think was kind of known. But I guess my NSP vinyl preorder got me on a list to get the letter from the bankruptcy court.

The band said they’d make things right, so I’m not concerned, but it sucks for them and all the other artists stuck in the same situation.

 

Ordered the Paramore S/T reissue from UO and it’s the first time in a while they didn’t pack it like it was the most fragile thing on earth. They just threw it in a big box with no padding so it has a huge ding on the corner. The packaging for that place remains wildly inconsistent.
