This was mine too. I was in conversations with someone on discogs about buying their copy and then I don't remember what happened, but I never ended up getting it.

Also missing out on the pressing of Nightmare Of You's self-titled a few years back.

i hesitated picking up the OG Black Friday pressing when he dropped it, but i'm glad i ended up purchasing it. it's still the most valuable record in my collection (Endless is up there too).

 

Luckily, most of my "why the hell didn't I buy that when I had the chance?!" albums have now been reissued. There are still a few I'm kicking myself for not snagging, though. I know I saw a copy of Paper Walls at my local record store once but didn't buy it. Same story with Matt Nathanson's Last of the Great Pretenders.

 

With YC's resurgence, I'm sure we'll get a repress of Paper Walls at some point.

Basically my whole “first” collection in college that I had to sell to make rent when I got out of college (first press two thirty eight, converge Jane doe just to name a couple)
I passed on an OG of new day rising by husker du in NYC a couple weeks ago because it was the first shop I went to and didn’t want to blow all my funds. Def regret that.

Mail day from an acquaintance of mine. I got these things and there's this one thing that's still sealed... A part of me is scared to unseal it. But it's definitely been a grail of mine for a long time.

I'll report back tomorrow and see what colour it is!

 

I don’t have a lot of “shoulda bought it when I had the chance”, thankfully I feel like I have a lot more of “I’m glad I bought it when I did”. But the one that pops into mind is Nonstop Feeling. I didn’t like the record much at the time (still largely impartial to it outside a few songs), but it was in the used bin for like $12 on a cool variant at my local shop maybe 6 months before Turnstile blew up

 

I was just thinking today about how those twothirtyeight albums need represses.
