I guess I didn't specify but was thinking about albums that have been pressed. But it makes for an interesting topic so totally include those that haven't been pressed.

I have a looooong list of T&N albums I would love pressed. Unoriginal Vinyl hopefully will knock some of those out

Dang really? I thought that little NFT stunt they ran a while back had tons of variants for those albums.

I wrote the above earlier and got distracted. I’ll stick with these for now.

 

Unoriginal, has been doing a spot on job with all these T&N/Solid State first/represses.

I'd love to see Slow Coming Day get a first press. One of my best buds reached out to them in regards to it. They said they tried to make it happen but the whole T&N and Capital records fiasco.

 

It's a bummer when you are excited to receive a specific variant of an album that you got lucky on ordering, then they send you the wrong one. lol.

SMLXL had a random $10 sale and I was able to snag How to Save a Life. It's crazy how much that is going for now

I’d love any of those Augustana records really, but the first two especially.

 

Do we know for certain if the Letters masters where destroyed in the '08 fire, or are rights still owned by Epic/Sony? This would absolutely be my white whale as well. At least it sounds like we are getting ReadySexGo soonish.

 

The label owns those masters. I asked him about it when I interviewed him back around the Afraid of Ghosts time, and he basically said that he’d love to put those albums out on vinyl, but has no real control over it because the label owns the recordings and doesn’t care enough about him as an artist to do anything with them. For what it’s worth though, Matt Nathanson said the same thing to me about Some Mad Hope, and that eventually got a pressing, so I think it would just take some vinyl label getting the license.

Also, the fact that they somehow got the masters back for those M3 albums gives me hope it will eventually happen. Very curious how they went about doing that, since it really seems like they got everything.

 

Thats good news, I had hoped it was something like that. Although Butch doesn't have the biggest fanbase, he has passionate fans that will purchase anything he puts out (especially Letters on vinyl). I never thought I'd see the M3 albums on vinyl either so that alos gives me hope.

 

A hearty “haha” to the people trying to sell their old War All The Time vinyl for over $100. When I just bought it for like $30.
