I’m stoked because I failed to snag one and now I got the green! The cover gives me vibes of someone asking you to come sit with them in the dock and chill.

 

Being a Taylor Swift vinyl variant collector has to be one of the more, "stop and hand over your lunch money" hobbies you could have. Yes, there are certainly more expensive and harmful hobbies, but that one seems to have a lot of gut punch moments.

 

The good thing about the Wal-Mart $15 vinyl sale last year was getting all the Midnights variants for a somewhat affordable price.

 

Why not release every color at the same time?

 

Anyone order from the Hellogoodbye site and not get a response for weeks?

 

I don’t think the vinyl for Zombies! ships out for another month or two.

 

It's usually just Forrest doing it himself from his home, so I would be patient. I ordered a candle from him once and it took months and no response, even though he lives down the street.

 

My bank account is very grateful I don't listen to her, that's for sure.

 

I ordered “Would It Kill You?” which could be a preorder too?

It was all of Black Friday weekend iirc. I imagine it won’t be $15/vinyl this year. But who knows.

 

I think r/vinylreleases had a good point that this puts so much undue stress on the merch folk. Now they’re gonna have to deal with a bunch of order cancellations because people will want to cancel just so they can avoid paying multiple shipping charges.

 

i just realized in my decade of record collecting, i don't own a single split pressing. should probably remedy this.

 

I just cannot imagine ever being like "Yeah, I'm going to buy this one album on vinyl four times." Truly makes no sense to me as a reasonable human behavior.

 

The only time I ever bought one of four variant covers is when I had to decide which closeup of Mitski's face I wanted on Laurel Hell. Definitely didn't collect them all

 

Went to Austin yesterday/Chiodos and Sunami came in the mail

 

Uh... WTF

After today's record store visit, I told myself; "That should be enough 'til Caroline drops in November..."

I cannot pass this up.... I am thinking this is a mistake
