Slowdive and The True Faith finally came in the mail. Both have been a few months in the queue. My favorite shoegaze and post punk records of the year, respectively. Really good mail day!

Merchbar still no ship

I cancelled my most recent Merchbar order because it changed to backorder. Then found the record I had ordered in a local shop for the same price in the same variant lol. Deftones s/t reissue on ruby red

 

For VMP subscribers, Fiona Apple’s Tidal is available. Get it before the secondary market charges $100 for it again.

 

I found the s/t on black shortly before they announced the reissue, and I've been going back and forth on whether I need a second copy.

 

Going to NYC next week. Besides limited to one and generation records, any spots I need to check?

I got my Guts record today, which I ordered from Target because I had a gift card. It came "packaged" in nothing more than a plastic sleeve and was miraculously in perfect condition.

 

My Target vinyls always come in cardboard, glad yours arrived fine!

 

Yeah, I’ve never had a problem with their packaging. But that’s insane.

 

my olivia rodrigo order from target was packaged poorly as well. It was flimsy cardboard, came a little warped, pissed about that, but not that bad. Usually they are good...

 

i avoid shipping just to be perfectly safe. every in-store purchase i've made at Target has always turned out great, save for the latest Tears for Fears album (which was pretty warped due to the bonus 7").

 

I missed being able to flip through my records and looking at the covers instead of just seeing the spines, so I moved them back into crates--they take up two now! I have one crate on top of a table and one underneath it that I can just slide in and out pretty easily. I have wondered if I'd be able to use like the shelf inserts for Kallax cubes but I don't think they'd be big or sturdy enough

Yeah I got one. 50 seems too little. I assume the band will sell them at Furnace Fest, or maybe SMLXL is releasing the rest?
