Spin those MB20 albums all the time since getting the boxset. Love having those.

 

This might be one of my hotter takes on this website, but I can't for the life of me understand why people still want to listen to late 90s/early 2000s pop rock. Maybe because my family was constantly playing the radio and these songs got so played out for me, but I honestly don't want to ever hear them again, haha.

 

The highs here this week are over 100 so maybe I'm okay with the heat

I've got MB20's Exile on Mainstream greatest hits disc and I love it. Nothing but bangers.

 

I suggest you try doing what I've been doing lately. We're alllllll familiar with the hits of the 90s, for sure, but how many of the full albums have you listened to? I've been doing little deep dives into some of those albums with the mindset "There must be other great songs on this since their song ___ was so huge." It's been pretty fun haha. But sometimes it's a bit of a slog... haha. (Spoiler alert: Turns out there isn't another good song on the Len album.)

This is how I feel about most of what was on pop radio for the 2000s and the 2010s. Reading through Tom Breihan's Number Ones columns over at Stereogum, there's shit he's giving decent or great scores to that I can't believe anyone would ever want to hear again. I've got a soft spot for the 90s/2000s era of pop rock, though.
