Unrelated to all the other news - I managed to find some really cheap steals today along with some new records on my list.

 

The Acacia Strain - Death is the Only Mortal repress. Holding off to see if Rise has their own variants before pulling the trigger.

Sounds great on vinyl, fantastic record

 

Got what I thought was a black copy on a flash sale on Discogs for 5 dollars shipped and it turned out to be the white copy /500. Stoked. Such an underrated band

 

Solid local band. Saw then once open for American Nightmare; fitting.

 

saw them once during the negative qualities era at an in store at a local record shop right before going to see slipknot lol

 

hell yeah, love Single Mothers. I randomly found a copy of Negative Qualities in the used bin at Newbury last year and bought it. i saw them open for Title Fight and Pianos Become the Teeth back in 2012

 

god that’s a fucking LINE UP

 

Also love newbury comics. Miss that place so much

Two Conversations by The Appleseed Cast. Fear Before's Odd How People Shake. Ulrich Schnauss' A Strangely Isolated Place. William Basinski's The Disintegration Loops.

 

Wax Bodega has The Receiving End of Sirens as one of the artists listed with "stay tuned". I am praying for a repress of Between the Heart and the Synapse.

 

Ive got all of those with the exception of Catalyst since it's never been pressed.

I'm hoping Vagrant drops The Bled "Pass the Flask" repress.

 

especially with a few Bled reunion shows that were announced. contemplating going to the NYC show

 

I'd love to see them live again, probably haven't seen em since 2005.

I remember the first time The Bled played Toronto in 2004. They were opening for Senses Fail. I was up front and just owning the mic from James the whole time. During "Get up you son of a bitch..." James threw up on my arm/hand. I proceeded to non chalantly wipe it on my buddy who was beside me. Haha.

I remember the band had a LiveJournal page and I mentioned that in the group. James responded and apologized for puking on me. Think he said it was his birthday the day before and Senses Fail got him a bottle of whiskey that he basically polished off in one go.

Memories. Haha.

Nick Cave is "apparently " wrapping up his new album. If he's maintaining his new trajectory; I'm down.
They Might Be Giants might drop their reissues anytime now - which I will gobble down like a stupid clown.
