Some of these people who just list their records at insanely high prices are so mystifying to me. Is there any intention to actually sell? Or is it "I wonder how much money I could actually get for this?" There's a copy of Counting Crows' This Desert Life on Discogs going for $875, and I just think that's psychotic shit.

 

Yea. That sounds right to me. Which is super lame.

edit: with North, I offered about half of asking price and they accepted it. They clearly did want to sell it and priced it around the other ones available.

 

Also, my friend probably knows I have North, so they didn’t bother mentioning it potentially. We shall see soon.

 

I paid $200 for my yellow 1st press of North about 2 months ago. Knew I was taking a chance that we'd see a 20th anniversary pressing this year or soon. It is a great copy though so not too mad.

 

Looks like that 2nd pressing of Rufio - Perhaps I Suppose ships in August in case anyone was wondering. Don't think the page even said that.

 

Tried my luck on another pressing of OOTV. It’s… interesting. There’s mixing fuckups (Danger’s chorus backing vocals aren’t in line with the rest of the song), and also some songs use different mixes altogether.

I ordered the Brooklyn Vegan variant, so I'll probably get that in about a year.

 

This one sounds much better than the Music on Vinyl pressing I had before, but hearing all these small differences is pretty weird! For example, the chatter between Stephan and Vanessa at the beginning of Self-Righteous was cut. Also they put “My Time in Exile” on Side D after a fake runout groove.

 

I like those differences you mentioned above. haha

Just revised it and geez. It's like when I revisited Sum 41 Chuck earound RSD. Absolutely solid fucking album.

I grew up seeing their videos and hearing them all over the radio here in Canada, and seeing them countless times live. Makes me feel like I'm in my late teens / early 20s again.

I hope that means some Treble Charger finds its way on vinyl one day as well!
