Super ducking bummed I miss the TDWP Dear Love repress or w/e that Rise released 2 days ago.

I guess we'll see in a few weeks. It makes me second guess ordering the BV variants for Hit the Lights and Moving Mountains. I just like their international shipping is a bit more *sic* fair than other online retailers.

Panopticon and Oceanic are just crushing masterpieces.

I hope that price sticker comes off easily though!

looking through a McKay’s new arrivals bin is such a let down 97% of the time and then you find an amazing record and you’re like “who tf got rid of an original pressing of The Illusion of Safety?!” (From experience)

 

Since we were on the whole Jimmy talk yesterday, dusted this one off for Sunday morning cleaning.

 

SMLXL quality control is shit. Pretty much every Relient K album I purchased had issues.

 

My wife and I chose “Here It Goes” as one of our wedding video soundtrack songs. Worked perfectly for the dancing scenes.

 

Pressing wise? Or packaging? I've ordered Two Lefts, Mmhmm, Five Score and FANSD and I didn't notice any issues initially ... I mean, I haven't spun them since I got them a few years ago.

Maybe I'll throw one on (after I'm done spinning Sugarcult)

I’ve had no issues from SMLXL. All my RK vinyl has been great and Cities. I think that’s what I’ve gotten from them.

 

I had issues with both unfortunately. Still waiting for them to rectify too.

 

I love this album way more than I thought I would. So glad they're still pumping out solid music

I too have the FOB in my order, which was in stock when I ordered and now says back order. Wonder if that’s part of the issue.

 

What were the issues? My copy of Cities from them is perfect.

 

Crack, chip, scratches, warping. Basically worst nightmare stuff. Haha.

 

Honestly sounds fine. I only got through the first few songs, and the songs themselves sound good with no pops and even the blank space is relatively quiet. Maybe someone just got a bad record, or it’s limited to a non-green variant? Either way, no complaints here.

 

Just added some serious swag to the classic rock part of my collection. My younger brother’s wife’s parents were off-loading their vinyl collection, and the majority of them were original pressings. After cleaning and cataloguing them on Discogs, I think I ended up with a great mix of stuff (for free!). Oh, and a few were never opened or had the shrink wrap/hype sticker still on it.

Honestly I'd pay double or even triple the price for it, so once these ship and get into people's hands if I see one on eBay or discogs I'll buy it.

Between this and the Isles and Glaciers repress that BV did, damn some classics are coming back out.
