Got this in the mail this week. Definitely one of the most unique records I own. It’s the original TMNT movie soundtrack but done in 16-bit. It’s supposed to be like a soundtrack for a video game based on the movie. So cool!

 

My original press of what is arguably my all time favorite album.

 

It’s in my top 3 as well. What an album.

I feel the popular opinion is that Futures is by far their best. (the demo of Jen is one of my favourite Jimmy songs!) but Clarity just came at the right time in my life.

I just started to dive into "underground emo" around 1999/2000. I was already obsessing over The Get Up Kids "Something To Write Home About" (was my gateway album). Also discovering, Saves the Day, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring and having a local band like Moneen.

I had Blink's "Urethra Chronicles" on VHS and I remember Tom was talking about his favorite bands and he mentioned Jimmy. So one day I was at HMV looking for the next new discovery and found Clarity. I was like "Well if it's one of Tom's favourite bands, it's gotta be good!"

So thank you Tom Delonge. Lol

 

I'm about halfway through moving my collection to my house and can't wait until I'm finally set up to spin records again.

 

We took the same gateway drug. My close friend and I got into Jimmy the same way. Haha.

 

I love Futures but Clarity is definitely the better album.

I think the trilogy of Clarity, Bleed American and Futures is just perfection.

I feel exactly the same way. Stay on My Side Tonight is also phenomenal. There are no bad JEW releases, but that period was on another level.

 

It was difficult for me to even say one album is better than the other. I love them all.

 

Yup! That companion EP to Futures is just awesome. Disintegration is easily one of their best songs!

 

Feels a little surreal to have a new Fireworks album on vinyl. Definitely times in the last 9 years I didn’t think it would ever happen, let alone be as good as it is.

 

Still waiting on my Brooklyn Vegan tri color. Shouldve just ordered the standard green lol.

My buddy ordered the BV variant for the latest Jesus Piece. Pretty sure that came out in March and he hasn't received it yet...

They seem pretty sketchy with their pre orders. But no issues if they have it in hand.

 

yeah I got an email from BV like in June about the drain delay but nothing else since.

 

oh god I did order that fireworks album from BV - I'm never gonna see it

 

Yeah it’s strange. Although I preordered Militarie Gun’s album with BV and it came right on time. Who knows.

 

I wanna think Merchbar is just swamped with orders from their sale a couple weeks ago, but almost everything I read about them was not good...

 

I’ve had zero issues with them. *shrugs*

 

I have the 10 Year Anniversary Edition and it’s a staple for sure. My favorite band and some of my favorite pieces in my collection are from this band.
