I'm headed on vacation for a couple of days. I need to worry about two things: Records being delivered and sitting in the hot sun before someone can grab them for me and Catalyst being released. haha. I really need to unplug from socials, etc. Let's see if I can actually do it.

Do you have a neighbor who can grab your stuff for you? Slip 'em a $5 or share a drink with them at a later time (if that's their thing.)
You might even be able to leave special instructions for your delivery-person; "please construct small air conditioned enclosure for my package. Payce!"
Because, I too have that exact same fear.

 

lol, I will find someone to help me out. My mail person has a bad habit of leaving the packages directly in the sun as if to say, "stop forcing me to carry these damn records to your house on a daily basis."

 

Fuck if anyone happened to snag an extra Age of Adz Vesuvius hit me up please! Been mostly AWOL from the internet for a week and a half and missed it

Stoked on the Dizzy anniversary press though, and have to concur with Drew and Drewski that the VMP Is This It is incredible. Instantly one of my all around favorites in my collection.

I’ll probably never own a Goo record because I at least need the option to skip the Robby tracks, lol. Dizzy does have some of my favorites though. All Eyes On Me is a staple in this house

 

Has anyone that’s received their Balance & Composure Too Quick To Forgive actually spun the record yet? The reviews on Discogs are… not good

 

Hahah remember Robby WAS the original lead singer back in their punk days. Never skip the Robby tracks, they add character to their albums!

it looks like the negative reviews are for the bone w/ black/red splatter variant, although the stamper is probably the issue, and if they use it for multiple variants, it could transfer over - idk if pressing plants use different stampers for different pressings or not. i have the red with black smoke variant, so i'll test it out here in a bit.

 

I’m also seeing them on the bone & red swirl variant too, so I’m kinda assuming it’s across the board. But I also can never tell when people on Discogs are just being nitpicky for sake of it, haha. People ached and moaned about early TTWTWM pressings too and I thought they sounded fine

 

That's a bummer. I ordered the second press so hopefully that one's better.

 

ok it does sound a tad compressed, but it's not "terrible" from what i can tell

 

one of my first vinyls when i got into the habit in 2021 was vol 1 of the goos greatest hits. good album to play in my apt over drinks and some hands of UNO.. gonna add dizzy to the collection once it hits retail.

 

I did the layout for this, and can't believe how goddamn beautiful the vinyl looks in person.

Grabbed the Bayside Red and Blue EPs in that Hopeless sale. Still felt too expensive, but better than the original $22 each.

Just moved to Buffalo and figured it was a good time to add this to the collection

Was happy to add these to the collection. Had to have them sent from overseas, but worth it to get non-black versions.

I’m weird, I’ll be more likely to spin an album if the variant matches the album art.
