I can't recall when I signed up for back in stock notifications. It might have been back when it went on sale last year. Well with all the recent Format/Fun represses maybe we'll see a Grand Romantic repress sooner rather than later.

 

I've been eyeing down that Cloud Nothings record for awhile. I need that LP in my life.

I'm annoyed that Deep Discount cancelled my Thrice Artist in the Ambulance vinyl pre-order, but luckily I was able to grab the same variant elsewhere. Hopefully everyone's copies will be arriving this week!

Just saw an Amazon listing also with that 6/9/23 release date. Here we go!

 

None of these are the variants they sold on their store... what gives?

 

So I emailed Corey from Near Mint just to inquire about the repress of Lydia "Illuminate". I asked if the repress would be gapless.

He responded with a simple "Yes".

 

I could see the bottom right being the galaxy blue.

 

I forgot about that gap, it's been a while since I listened to that. Now the question is if I should buy another copy...

 

Got a cartridge question if anyone can help. Looking to replace the standard cartridge on my Audio-Technica LP120. Willing to spend whatever so budget doesn't matter but was between the following options:

1. Ortofon 2M Bronze
2. Ortofon 2M Blue
3. Audio-Technica VM540ML

The Bronze is obviously the nicest and most expensive, but I am reading conflicting information. Is that sort of high-end cartridge going to be "too much" for my standard table and it will sort of be a waste?

 

I was in pretty much the exact same predicament a few months ago. Assuming you have a decent setup otherwise, I would just save and upgrade to the Fluance RT85 table ($500) which comes with the Ortofon 2M Blue ($240 by itself).

I had some platter wobble in my LP120, so it was pretty much a no brainer for me to chuck the entire table.

with Second Stage and What It Is To Burn getting represses soon, I'm going to continue to be very poor and continue to have no space on my shelf...

i made a list of stuff i want to sell, but looking at the list, there isn't anything on it that is super exciting, i'm sure. so i might have to start knocking out some other stuff that i actually still want just to make room for everything new i've been getting... ugh. limited space sucks.
