I got City and Colour tickets for their Toronto date, then totally forgot that The Cure was playing the same venue! . I've got 5 concerts from now until September and that's the most I've had lined up in years.

They're one of my favs but I've never seen them, I should just go solo.

On the vinyl side of things. Disintegration sounds amazing on vinyl!

 

as a person who has seen The Cure before, you should do anything you can to go to that show.

I finally upgraded to a real wood cabinet for the record collection. After 10+ years collecting, it was time. Custom-made with the dimensions between the two pillars in my place and couldn't be happier! The last one was only one row, so now they're all back together in one place. Pretty stoked!

 

Just found a used copy of the VMP pressing at a record store last week! Only reason I knew about it was because of you. Thanks, man!

 

That’s such a great record. Discovered it awhile back through some list I once read of underrated DC artists. It was weirdly on bandcamp for awhile which was where I picked it up before I subscribed to VMP.

 

Of course! I literally spun it twice this weekend alone. I think it has honestly cracked my top 20 albums ever.

It is! I'm happy with the ortofon red, but will be nice to upgrade that one day.

Unfortunately, i'm getting a high 120hz buzz because my apartment isn't properly grounded. Now that I've got this new piece of furniture, i'm trying to sort that out ASAP with the landlord. My place is pretty old and the tt is grounded. After doing some research last night, i think that's the culprit.

I think I'm going to get the Pro-Ject VC-E cleaner pretty soon because I'm sick of using my spinclean and getting mixed results.

Once those two things get resolved, this should be the best sound I've had so far!

 

This is cool, but not worth the price for me. Would rather take that cash and upgrade my player. Im thinking about possibly going to an Evo or Debut Pro or even a RPM1

I've got so many older, dirty records that are ultimately clean and unscuffed, but dusty as hell. I really don't like using the spinclean and I'm not playing them on my tt until they're washed, so this feels a bit overdue. In the past few years i started to double down on this hobby. Will update if it was worth he investment. haha
