There were only a few variants I liked. The black w/ white splatter looks pretty cool, too.

 

Anyone ever sell stuff on discogs? Trying to set up my seller profile and the shipping part is confusing as hell.

I see that is how you have it described. I'm trying to figure out how to create the shipping policies. Do you just have it set that all of US is $6/per record and international is $18? Basically I'm trying to figure out how setting that up works.

Also do you just send a shipping invoice or does it autocharge you at purchase?

 

I wouldn't charge $6 for shipping. $4-5 is probably where you wanna be. But that's your call. However, shipping priority would be a good idea, in which case, shipping costs would be closer to $10. I've had issues where the post office damaged a record I sent and I ended up having to send a full refund and ended up with a broken record. Priority mail with insurance might be your best bet. If you do opt for media mail, ask the buyer if they would like to pay for insurance and/or priority.

You can set shipping at whatever you want and you send an invoice to the person who buys it and then they PayPal you

 

Ok. Do you just create a shipping label on the side or is it like ebay where it has a method to do this for you?

 

So happy I finally crossed out an important record from my want list this evening. Found a near brand new copy of Songs for Silverman for $40. Been trying to find that album for a decent price for years.

 

If something is listed in my collection and then sells will it automatically be deleted?

 

Not sure if it's been posted yet - but the Killers "Hot Fuss" is finally being repressed this summer thru SRC. Really stoked to finally get that.

God I hate SRC but I've wanted that record for so long.

 

I will get this convo going I feel like the hate for SRC is more because of the people who have been wronged are more vocal. I've never had an issue other than they are pricey.

 

My Hum reissue is wonderful, but I've read some horror stories. Buying through them would just depend on how badly I want the record.

My copy of In Defense of the Genre is great too, although I bought that one at Hot Topic.

 

How does your copy of Runners sound? I want one so bad but I've heard mixed things about Epitaph's vinyl

SRC has never done me wrong. Dozens of orders.

 

They've shipped me the wrong record in the right jacket, cancelled my order without telling me, listed and accepted orders for records they never were going to ship, etc. Luckily their customer service has done the right thing by me and I've gotten my money back every time, but they're definitely my seller of last resort.

 

Expecting to get boned by them. Ordered a few preorders-some in the same order w/ different release dates, some with other records- and they've posted on twitter about being sold out of some of the records

You think that's something you're going to continue to do? There are only 2 records I have 2 copies/variants of. This is one of them.

 

I honestly don't get variant collecting... o_o

 

I feel better about my vinyl spending addiction because I'm not into variant collecting.
