Imagine it's a couple and they each wanted to surprise each other with the same album for Christmas, haha.

 

My brother and I get each other the same record every year. We don't live together, but I do get them both shipped to me lol

 

I saw it went up early... That price is insane.

 

Unoriginal Vinyl does such nice work but man I just can't justify $50 plus shipping for a Christmas album.

 

That's how I justify any Unoriginal Vinyl purchase at least you know it's a quality product. It's just their 2 lps are getting pricey. Look at The Classic Crime last week.

This actually reminds me, I thought I had seen that the date for Forget What You Know had been pushed back to 11/18, but still haven't heard anything. Anyone else see any updates anywhere on that?

I received this response from Siren Records yesterday, but no new info really.

The date was changed to 11/18, but it looks like it hasn’t arrived from the label yet. Hopefully very soon

 

Damn. Was hoping to spin it at least once before the show next Friday. Ah well.

I can't imagine my friends liking me enough to not only buy me a record I want, but know which variant I am missing in my collection

 

What if you are friends with someone who is also super into records… to the point where they have a discogs account with positive feedback? This could be a scam, but I have a vinyl friend who has had random things sent to me because he just rules and knows I’m going to be stoked to own these things.

I hope this is just a situation where the person has close friends also into vinyl collecting! I need more people like this in my life haha.

Idk if this is a dumb question bc idk much about audio but do you think the Sony would be a bit of a bottleneck working against getting the best out of the KEF speakers if you upgraded? I have the same STR and was wondering where I’d get the most bang for my buck in upgrading the system. Those speakers look cool and it’s obvi a big sale so it’s tempting. I have an ATLP120 going into an old onkyo preamp, the STR, and then to some passive pioneer speakers. They sound fine but underwhelming so idk which piece to blame lol.
