No, but four drinks in, you're giving me ideas

 

I’m not sure if I’m getting paid for the two days I had off dude to the hurricane. Otherwise I would have already ordered a few cheaper albums or splurged on a pricier one.

 

Yeah, never got a shipping notification. It just kinda showed up.

 

Somebody cut me off. I spent too much on vinyl this morning.

I decided to buy Nimrod and Alchemy Index off Discogs. Alchemy was pricey so I said I was done. And I was. Until…

I got an email from Merch Bar saying they have a vinyl sale going on. Ended up buying American Idiot, After Laughter, and Riot!
Oopsies. Thank god for credit cards.

 

Haha, I saw the merchbar sale and there's like 5 things I've favorited on there but I can't do it, since I definitely drunk bought Mean Everything to Nothing last night because I've been eyeing it forever, and it's silly I don't have a copy.

haha honestly I didn’t do too bad. Everything but Alchemy was about $100. I just used my debit card for those. Alchemy was $135 or so and I did put it on my credit card. I’ll have at least two more paychecks before I need to pay it off. Can easily set aside $45 from yesterdays paycheck and the next two.

Meaning I could splurge more… but unless something pops up unannounced, I’m done for this paycheck.

Oh that’s not that bad. Glad you finally have it! I’m slowly filling up my collection these days. Snagging what I can when I can.

 

Probably not the healthiest for me when "ok, it's under a hundred, you're fine" is my rational for things.

 

Hahaha for most albums, $50 is generally my ballpark. I splurged on North and now The Alchemy Index. But it does have four LP’s so I can justify it a bit that way. North though? That was purely a splurge.

 

Damn I'd totally pay 55 for METN that's my favorite MO record by a mile

Just realized I should be able to get like $2,700 back from loan payments I’ve made since the pandemic hit. My first thought was, how many vinyl could I get out of that amount. My mom said it’d be good for some medical bills. Boooo!!! I’ll probably split it up between them rather than blowing it all on vinyl.

i have.... SO many records i need to sell/get rid of. the thought of cataloging everything and shipping them out is exhausting. REALLY wishing Rasputin didn't close down the local branch bc i would've taken whatever they gave me.

when i moved towns last year and had to pack and transport the 100+ records in my lil Corolla down the freeway it was a miserable experience lol

Really wish you were closer because I’d try to do a collection buy haha. If you do decide to ship stuff out, let me know and maybe we can come to an agreement on some items.

 

I know this deal is going to finalize it seems, but that tour anniversary press is no joke. They did a really good job on it and I’m so happy I picked up a copy.

i ended up selling my early press of METN afterwards for like $45 or $50.

 

@withchappedlips yeah i'll still ship some out if there's interest- i'm in the process of cataloging the records i wanna sell, i'm compiling them on my Discogs acct (which i haven't updated in years)

but i'll list some on here if some folks wanna buy!

I have that same TTTYG vinyl (also not selling) and yea, it’s selling for quite the price these days. To think I bought it for like $25 from Hot Topic haha

 

when i got it, they accidentally gave me 2 copies?!? and i ended up giving it to an old friend as a "wedding gift" (he has since divorced) and i don't think he even has it anymore...... kinda regretting that decision now lol

 

That’s a bummer. It’s definitely a decent album to jam when you’re divorced I’m sure.

 

Does anyone have advice on Bluetooth speakers that will work well for vinyl? My new turntable setup is across the room from where I want speakers and I can't be running coax under the floor.

 

I use a Sonos system with multiple speakers for my player.
