Fantastic album. Had to grab this right away.

 

I think its black > clear/solid color > merge/splatter/all the pretty stuff.

But I think it's mostly down to the plant, the pressing in general, your set up, and how much of an audiophile you are.

I remember talking to the guy behind the band Panopticon and that's what he told me if I remember correctly. Also merge/splatter have a tendency to wear down more quickly than black/clear/solid color but I think that's also if you play the shit out of a record. If you plan on playing a specific album daily for a long time than black is your best bet but if you spin it like once a week than the color is not a big deal. Mostly just worry about the pressing and source material instead.

Going for the Taylor 7” and the Mariah Carey #1s album. Ha

 

I basically only want the Sara Bareilles album, but don't have the energy for an 8am arrival. How fast we think that's gonna sell?

I was interested in Gamino's Kauai, but $30 for a 5 song ep is steep. Same with the $40 price tag on Mariah.

 

The key finding the indie store in nowheresville, USA that gets all the goods but no one buys it. Wait 6 months and get it half off

 

Gambino is an RSD First record with a ridiculous number pressed and more that will be pressed regularly. No need to rush out to get that.

Judging by how much the old Bareilles pressing goes for, I imagine it will go fast.

Our local record store said Swifties have been bugging the shit out of them about Lakes. Imagine that will sell out fast.

 

Got there at 15 minutes after opening. Swift and Bareilles were long gone.

On the lookout for various stores that are just doing a sale for non-RSD items. Nothing on the RSD lists this year really enticed me, but want to support some store today.
