I’m still debating buying the RSD Back the Way We Came.

I’m surprised they even shipped any over. Thought it was UK Exclusive.

 

Have you been able to find a webstore selling it? I've hit up a few local shops and haven't found it anywhere.

 

naw, I’ve just seen it in a few local shops.

Ebay sellers will ship though, and it doesn’t seem to be too nuts - yet.

 

A little more than half way scanning all my vinyl into Discogs and holy crap I had no idea how much my collection was worth…

My copy of toe’s For Long Tomorrow arrived today and I’m in love with the way this pressing came out looking. Sounds incredible too

Doubt these will be available for much longer. The clear (and black) is already sold out in Sugarcult’s webstore and this is the only other ship carrying the clear.

Also, am I the only one that seems have a ridiculously hard time finding this thread if it’s not on the front page or shows up as a recent notification? Typing ‘vinyl’ or even ‘vinyl thread’ in the music forum search tab somehow does not yield this thread in the results. But I digress.

Got Butterfly 3000 by King Gizzard in the mail today. Was hoping it would be a blue one but I like the red, sounds fantastic.

You could also look under your followed threads. That’s generally how I pull up threads apart from notifications.

 

Yeah I usually just check my follow threads page, or I just type “vinyl” into my browser and the thread automatically comes up under bookmarks & history

 

Toe has been on my radar for years but I have only ever listened to a song or two. Decided to listen to For Long Tomorrow album based on this post and I’m loving it so far.

 

Oh word! They definitely seem like a band you’d be into, glad you’re giving it a go! Track 10 on that one is probably my favorite. They’re one of those bands that you can totally sit and get lost in, or just have on in the background for moody atmosphere all the same. Their other records are pretty similar, so if you dig that you’d probably like all of their stuff!

 

Yeah this is right up my alley, my cohost in college was super into them. I had it on while folding laundry, definitely good atmosphere music. I think my favorite on first listen is Two Moons. I’ll have to listen again with my good headphones tomorrow and really get lost in it.

 

Start Static is available on Amazon for $20 right now, with Prime too. A steal.

So like, what’s the deal with obi strips? What’s the purpose? Is it just a weird collector’s thing?

 

They’ve always confused me too. I’d almost rather my records not have them I think. I only have one with it on there and every time I listen to it I debate taking it off and just leaving it in the sleeve separately.
