Thank you for sharing this link. I had it pulled up on their official store at 10:00, but got pulled away from my computer at work for a few minutes and when I came back it was sold out. Was able to order it through this site though, so thanks again!

 

Wanted this one for so long, so pumped! Sounds pretty good quality wise too!

 

Would love a new Frameworks record some day. I need to spin my copy of Smother soon, it’s been a minute

I think my RSD list is pretty short this year.

I’ve spent way too much recently, and I really need to keep things to ~needs~ (lol).

The Doors - Morrison Hotel Sessions. This is my must have this year. I think they’ve really done the catalogue justice over the last decade or, at least for specialty releases and audiophile stuff. This should be no different.

Gaga - Chromatica. I need to keep the Gaga collection as compete as I can. So, I’m happy to have a proper copy.

Stillwater EP (Almost Famous). I ordered the boxset, but I still need this too.


maybe grab The Police, Rage, Tears for Fears, Iggy, Garbage, Def Lep, and maaaaaybe another copy of the Thrice record. Maybe.

 

i'm not even going to bother going. nothing good. ill poke through the leftovers at the local shop next week I guess

 

The only thing that I really want is the Conor Oberst record. Might pick up a few other things beyond that, depending on how I feel once I'm at the counter.

 

I’ve also stopped going. Used to not even mind if the selections weren’t great cause there would at least be other little store deals or like food trucks and live music outside some shops, but my lack of patience with large crowds has pretty much squashed any little desire I might’ve had left haha

 

I feel like every year is pretty much the same for me in terms of size of my want list on RSD. It’s always like 2-5 items and I usually find a way to grab them eventually whether it’s day of or later on. I think the only one I really was interested in day of that I couldn’t pick up was the Charli vroom vroom record.

this year my list for the current drop is alk3, linkin park, Ariana, and HAIM/tswift. Pretty minimal.

 

What time are any sites dropping their stock online?

 

I’m confident that everything I want will be available at noon. I’ve even convinced myself that people have stopped liking The Doors and Gaga.

which makes me standing in line right now even dumber.

Sorry this is so late, but yeah, I recommend these speakers to anyone who asks. Mine survived a house fire and still work perfectly fine. Just a little dinged up. Definitely pricy, but in my opinion have paid for themselves with quality. So I’m glad to see you completed the set!

 

Just got into vinyl a few months ago so I've never done RSD. I'm working til about 1:30 (EST) today. Is it even worth trying to go to stores at that point, or do most things sell out shortly after stores open?

 

it’s a crap shoot.

sometimes ‘big’ releases are gone instantly, other times they sit around for months (or even years).

Really just depends on what you want.

Hoping to pick up senses fail when Luna opens up their online sales at 1

 

Eyeing up a few of them. Thrice is the main one I want, but also would be interested in Senses Fail, Alkaline Trio, Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, and Opeth. I added three of them to my cart on Dine Alone Records when they went on sale at 10:00 and when I went to check out, it said they were all sold out already. Ah well.

 

Welp, my shop sold out of the Conor Oberst record just before I got to the counter. If anyone is able to find a spare copy, I would love to pay you shipping and a modest finder’s fee for it.
