I think just the box sets of all three have shipped so far.

 

for what it’s worth, the last 3 records I’ve ordered from Amazon either came in a bag, arrived warped, or was damaged. Like no joke had to replace so many from Amazon. Sometimes more than once: the replacement would show up damaged and sometimes the replacement’s replacement.

 

Not sure if Amazon UK is different or I've just been lucky but so far they have all been perfect from Amazon. Only ordered 10 or so from there though.

 

Oh wow that sucks to hear. I've order a decent amount of vinyl from Amazon and haven't had any issues so far.

 

Amazon always beats the shit out of my records. Another good reason to stop ordering from them.

 

I've only had one "record in a plastic bag" situation with Amazon. Usually, they arrive in the cardboard mailers which are as secure and solid as any vinyl shipping I've received. I try to steer clear of buying records on Amazon for other reasons, though.

I’ve never had a problem with either Amazon or SRC, but I always hear about others having issues. (Don’t worry. I’m sitting at a wooden table right now. Knock knock.)

 

I haven't had too many bad experiences with Amazon vinyl. I have had the plastic bag delivery now and then but not often. Only a few come to mind that got roughed up. Urban Outfitters in my experience has been the worst with handling records. I haven't had any problems with Target. They have a lot of records on their site. I just joined their store credit card. Free shipping using the card is great. I've gotten a few pre-orders the Friday they come out. Will probably starting ordering more from them.

 

I’ve had target ship single records in pretty big boxes with absolutely no padding. Somehow they weren’t damaged.

 

Haven't had that yet with Target. I have with Amazon. My friend got a record in the mail with shrink wrap and a shipping label. Could see the cover art sitting outside of his apartment haha.

 

I’ve had Amazon send me the wrong record on several occasions. To their credit, they’re great at resending immediately, even before I send wrong record back.

lot of delays with SRC but not sure how much of that is on them.

I knew Target was selling vinyl in stores, I didn’t realize they are selling online too. Is there more variety online? Because the in store selection isn’t much.

 

Yeah they have a big selection online, a lot more than in store. I preordered Turnover and Foals latest albums from Target. Two bands I wouldn't expect at Target/ Walmart/ Best Buy.

Hey all, quick question. I am going to be downsizing my collection in advance of a move and need to ship some of my records. Does anybody have any tips/tricks on where I can find some good mailers or any advice on shipping?

Going to be tough to part with some stuff buy I’m sure I’ll be back to spending absurdly once we’re settled in the new house. Thanks for the help in advance!

 

Most people I’ve run into just buy mailers on Amazon and utilize those. If you have leftover mailers in good condition, utilize those as well. I think it’s as simple as searching “record mailers” and going from there. I don’t know how good or bad they are, but pretty much everyone I’ve purchased from online sends me records in white mailers that match those!
