Who decides the price of the record? The label or the artist?

Want to buy the new Springsteen today but the standard vinyl is £35

I feel like in Bruce's case it has to be the label. He is on Columbia which is a major and most likely doesn't have much say in the price of his vinyl. It is two LPs even though one side is etched the cost is still there and I believe there is a 16 page booklet so the pricing although expensive isn't outrageous really.

 

Really wanna fuck around and buy the 9-LP version if only for the studio recording of Girl on LSD

This is one of my favorite vinyl designs. Every time I pull it out to play I'm always taken back by the color combo. Think it's so sharp.

 

The most I've spent on a single release, excluding a deluxe of some sort, is $50 for an original press of Bright Eyes - The People's Key. If i hit the lottery or a rich uncle dies and i get an inheritance, then I'll spring for this:

Wow I knew that Frank record was hard to come by but I didn’t realize it was that crazy.

Most of my white whales are in the $200’s.

I would love Jack’s Mannequin’s Everything in Transit and Dear and the Headlights’ Small Steps Heavy Hooves but they are always so expensive.

Yesterday’s mail day

 

yeah, got it from his website on Black Friday 2016 for I think $30 haha

 

I got my copy, and for what it’s worth, they clearly spent some money on this release. Everything from the booklet to the sleeves to the etching is really nice and is a cut above what I see with most vinyl releases.

 

Good to know - I ordered mine on Friday after listening to the record. One of the easier purchases I’ve made.

 

Hey y’all, wondering if anyone can help me...

I have these individual circle wall mounts that when put up correctly form a grid. I want to buy more, but I can’t seem to find them online anywhere. Anybody know offhand who makes them / how to find them?

 

There are multiple records per shelf, but I'll need a crate at some point. Choices are between the partner and I.
