Was in Target earlier picking up a few things, and stumbled on getting REM's Out of Time on lemonade yellow. Been going back to this record randomly this week (Losing My Religion was my theme for this week at work), so that was a nice find

Nice collection! I hope more VH albums get pressed - my copy of Echoes from the Underground (7 years old this Thursday!) is one of my favorites!

Oh wow, Sigur Ros Takk is coming out on the 23rd. I’ve been looking to add this forever. Expensive though, $70

Damn, my copy is two 12” and a 10” and the packaging is really nice but I don’t think it was anywhere near that much

Nice! If you haven’t heard of Discogs, you can also keep a catalogue of your collection there!

  12. I just need "Hoppipolla" on an endless looped 7" and I'd be completely happy. But I'd accept the whole album too, haha.

What do you all use (if anything) to clean your records? I use one of those fiber brushes but am thinking maybe I should get one of those wet cleaners. Any advice?

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I can across a formula like 6 years ago. It was distilled water, and I think some vinegar and or maybe a drop of dish soap. And then I used paint brushes to really clean the grooves. I dried them in a dish rack before putting them away. It took me about a week to wash 100 or so records.

I find the whole "best way to clean records" debate so difficult. Each forum, post, etc has different ideas. I've read vinegar/water is great but the vinegar can damage the stylus and cause mildew. I've also read it's the best solution.

It really shouldn't be that difficult, I wouldn't think, as vinyl has been around for quite sometime. I'd love to hear more ideas about it. Honestly, I've just been saving up for a vacuum vinyl cleaner. It's expensive but all-around, seems to have the best "reviews" as being most effective. Who knows, really. The spin-clean also seems to be a great bet but I have no idea.

Need some chemist, vinyl enthusiast(s) to find the most cost effective and best way and just put it out there for the love.

Also, vinyl cleaning almost seems like audiophiles arguing over the best speaker or tweeter. Maybe it is a personal preference?

That too! I use the brush but with dogs/carpets/kids they get dirty QUICK.

The brush helps but i can tell some need a cleaning.
