It says shipped and sold by Bull Moose, so if there’s an indie retail variant of this album, I’d guess it’s that. Or whatever BM has on their site.

Thanks. I had checked the Bullmoose listing but as far as I can see it doesn’t specify. I might just pull the trigger on it.

Got the white/black splatter print of Gospel by Fireworks in the mail, and I’m pretty worried it might be a bootleg :/

The cover printing is a little pixelly, the tracklist on the back mixed up two songs, the edges of the record itself are sharp and flat like it was just cut and not smoothed, and there were like 3-4 skips throughout.

I’ve heard of official records having not great quality printing, and I figured maybe the tracklist thing was true for all versions since it looks cleanly edited. But for all of this to be on one record gives me a sick feeling.

It’s not a huge deal, but it’s disappointing.

I looked it up on discogs out of curiosity and I don’t see a black/white splatter version. Where did you buy it?

Here’s the discogs page. (It’s listed as grey, sorry). It’s not marked as unofficial or whatever, but with a smaller band like this I’m worried it might not be categorized perfectly.

Edit: I bought it through discogs from a well reviewed record store.

I got this record when it came out and I remember it being sharp like that. I can check the tracklisting and see what mine says.

Looking to move these albums. If you need more info on variants, here is my discogs. Also, the 7” on there are for sale as well (except for the Coheed ones), but I don’t have any 7” mailers so you would need to pair it with a 12”. Taking any reasonable offers.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

If it makes you feel any better about it, I have this same exact pressing, bought from discogs as well. Don't remember if it skips or has any of the other issues you mentioned, but looking at the other pressings on discogs it looks like they all have Summer and Life Is Killing Me switched in the tracklisting for some reason. I honestly never noticed it but I'll take a look at mine tonight to confirm.

Thanks! Honestly, if it’s a legit pressing the artwork and minor skipping doesn’t absolutely kill me. I don’t love it, but I would feel less duped haha.

How reliable is buying vinyl off Amazon?

Reliable in what way? In my experience it’s always legit and I’ve never had a problem with packaging. They’re definitely not selling bootlegs or beat up albums if that’s what you mean. There are third-party sellers on there that might not be as reliable, but that’s true for anywhere.

The only real annoyance is that if you’re looking for a specific variant, a lot of the time they don’t specify what you’re buying u less it’s mentioned in the flavor text description.

I was mainly talking bootlegs and beat up albums, so I guess as long as it says Prime I should be good to go then?

sorry if that was a really stupid question.

Not at all, I’m always skeptical when buying online. But I’ve never had a problem with records from Amazon, and as far as I know they’re about as consistently reliable as you can find. I guess there’s always a risk no matter where you’re buying from, but I think they also have a pretty good refund/return system if you end up getting something bad.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I usually only buy the big titles from Amazon. Only issue I had was getting 2 of the same disc on the last haim album. But it wasn't their issue since it was sealed. Got a new copy before they received my defective copy.

I really only get albums from Amazon when people buy them off my Wish List on there. My family does most of our Christmas/birthday shopping on there, so I keep it pretty updated. Never had a problem, and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised with the variants.

their support is really good. they'll refund you a lot of the time if you have any problems.
rn they're delaying a lot of their vinyl shipping because they have bigger fish to fry. I would say that if you can find the record available elsewhere, at an online record store or from the band, to do that rn to support them instead.
