Rumored RSD list: A list of rumoured Record Store Day 2019 exclusives has emerged

 

Damn not much I’d be in for

 

RSD has been pretty mediocre for a few years now

 

So much for that rumored Thrice b-sides EP

 

Definitely interested in the Weezer Dusty Gems LP.

Would consider Billy Joel live double LP and even Artwork 10th anniversary.

 

Eh thats pretty underwhelming, if thats legit and its the whole list I'll probably pass this year (again).

 

There's a bunch on here I'm eager to snag:
Gorillaz - The Fall LP
Noel Gallagher - Wait and Return EP
Weezer - Dusty Gems LP
Weezer - Teal LP

 

RSD exclusives are pretty consistently underwhelming, I usually only go out because stores will sometimes offer deals on regular stuff too haha

 

And sometimes free food and drink.

Couple years ago I got a free beer and tickets to see the movie Green Room.

Tangent: The Green Room movie was listed, (or so I thought), as a horror/comedy. So I was thinking Shaun of the Dead type film. But the movie never became funny and my girlfriend hates gore. Good times.

 

I love that movie

 

Green Room is so fun, didn't know what to expect going in but damn was it grousome in some parts

 

LOL. That’s awesome. One of the stores near me gets a couple of food trucks and has some l bands play, and gets a raffle going as well. Usually a pretty good time, though the store itself is super small so trying to browse is a total pain.

 

Picked up Juvenile- 400 Degreez and De La Soul- is Dead from VMP yesterday.

What does everyone on here use to catalogue or keep track of their record collection?

I’ve got to the point now where my collections big enough that I can’t remember if I’ve already bought an album or not haha, so any refs on that would be much appreciated.

I spent most of this past Saturday as a long overdue update to my Discogs account. I happened to get through “L”.

 

Thanks everyone I thought discog might be the answer but thought I’d check to see if anyone used anything else. I know what I’m doing this weekend then

As for that record store day list posted above. Aretha Franklin and The Crow Soundtrack are the only things jumping out at me on there that I might pick up.

 

Just created my Discogs account. It's actually hurting my brain right now trying to think of what's in my collection without actually seeing it.

 

Just a heads up if you use the Discogs app on your phone the barcode feature absolutely sucks.

 

What issues do you have? I generally scan a record when I receive it and have no problems.

 

It just doesn’t work. I’ve tried it with multiple records and the app can’t seem to pick up the barcodes.

 

Speaking of the app, I hadn't used it in a while and went on after an update, saw VinylHub and I think thats probably one of the best features they've added in a while. Awesome for traveling to new areas and finding new shops to check out.

 

I've actually never even bothered with the app - I just open the site in my browser and add stuff by manually searching for it. It takes more time, but I find it oddly cathartic.
