Waxwork is finally releasing Babadook on Friday and it looks glorious.

 

I am beyond jealous.

 

They say “scuffs, dents, and indentations are expected” which are typically traits most vinyl collectors would attribute to “shitty” on a record they pre-ordered.

 

If it's a design choice that's fine. What makes it a shitty record is the guy that wrote it

 

Super excited to add these two 7" releases to my collection. Osker/Blindsided split from Bankshot! Records in 1998. Aside from a demo recording on Punk O Rama 3 a few months prior, this was Osker's debut. I managed to snag a copy with orange lettering which was limited to 300.



Then after Osker imploded in 2001, Devon started a new band that was more indie-rock. This was Fingers-Cut, Megamachine's debut 7" on Aggravated Music. They would release an LP and another EP but this was their only vinyl release (aside from a split). Two very important recordings for me in high school.

I'm dying to get Idle Will Kill on vinyl someday... siiiiiigh

 

Damn that looks nice.

 

The booklet (pretty sure this comes with every variant) is so great.

So is the first batch of Alchemy Index shipping?

 

I am under the impression they pushed everything until early 2018.

 

Nah. I think the same initial batch out of 2000 ships this week.

 

I would hope so, as one of those lucky east coasters I would love if it shipped this week.

 

Someone overnight on VC claims to have gotten a shipping notification for The Alchemy Index.

 

So got the limited SF. Anyone have any recommendations for getting a blank gatefold jacket? Looking to House the two records in a smaller profile than what was shipped

 

Best places to buy emo records in Melbourne? Best place for me at the moment has been eBay.

International shipping prices are ridiculous but some eBay sellers do it for free.

Spins over the weekend while working on my EOTY write up

 

Not sure how many of you would be interested, but Rise Records put up their holiday vinyl. Some first time pressings from Attack Attack, Breathe Carolina, Hands Like Houses etc.

Not this time, at least not so far.

 

I never thought I'd see the day haha. The crabcore loving high school me would be all over that Attack Attack self titled, but now I'd only get it as a novelty buy so I couldn't justify it

 

Understandable haha. I grabbed Breathe Carolina because I’ll forever love them for some dumb reason.
