finally got my After Laughter teal. wish it included a lyric insert of some sort but man it looks good.

 

Mine should arrive tomorrow.

 

I'm nervous now because there's been several people who ordered teal and got pink.

 

Makes me a little nervous, but it's not the end of the world. I'm sure they'll reimburse the purchase or make sure we get our teal somehow.

 

I grabbed a bunch of things from the P!MT store, one of which being Science Fiction. Am I probably not getting my other lps until October then since presumably the whole order ships at once?

 

That's normally how it works.

 

Anyone know if the Urban Outfitters After Laughter pressing shipped already as well?

 

I think their website said September 1st, if I remember right.

It seems to be back up. That website is so damn slow though. @Jason Tate spoils us over here at Chorus.

 

The fact that this place held up so well against the onslaught from everything that went down with *I can't talk about the band outside of its threads, and even then people get upset about it when they're brought up anywhere at all*, the whole week was really impressive. @Jason Tate runs a smooth website.

 

Pre-ordered the Science Fiction indie exclusive from Zia - also have the $45 pre-order from Procrastinate that we don't know any details about.

Finally pulled the trigger on a U-Turn a couple days ago so my record buying is probably going to be pretty low for a bit....
HA who am I kidding, I have zero self control.

Seeing all the After Laughter orders coming in has me excited to get my orange press soon!

 

please give your thoughts on the u-turn! i've been thinking of laying some money down for one too

 

I love my U-Turn.

 

I've had a u-turn for a couple years now. Looks great, built solid, performs well, never had an issue with the table at all. When I purchased it, the dust cover it shipped with warped after a month or so. I contacted u-turn and they replaced it quickly for free, so solid customer service as well. At the time of ordering the table, there was a 4-6 week wait, and they exceeded expectations on that as well.

 

Their customer service rules. I was originally told 4-6 weeks since I built it custom, it only took 2. They also sent me a replacement belt since mine was too stretched out when it arrived.

 

probably gonna throw my money at them sooner than later. glad everyone's had such good experiences with them

 

I reaaaaally want a u-turn. Unfortunately, the player I currently use isn't working now and it's old so I'm afraid to tinker with it. And the local shops won't either since it's pre-80s haha. So I'm looking to get a new table but can't throw the money down for the u-turn at the moment since I just moved and all that. I'll probably just go with an audio technica for now, then once I have a better area for a record set up, I'll splurge on the u-turn.

 

Only thing I wish U Turn offered is some sort of tone arm lift. I just bought one and I haven't been able to install it to work every time.

 

Of course, I'm planning on posting some thoughts on it when I finally get it and have it set up. From what every one else has said in here about theirs, I think you can't go wrong with it if its within your budget. I've really heard nothing but good stuff in my own research. Also helps that they're a fairly local business for me in MA. I'll always support local businesses.

 

i wish i had gotten a u turn over a AT LP 1200 but i started too early, oops

 

great to hear all the good things about U-Turn! I just picked on up as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, same color as @Joe4th . she now has a much nicer record play than me, I'm due for an upgrade.
