Yeah, fucked up.

 

I miss shopping for records. It’s only been like 10 days since i bought one but I miss it

 

had my first instance of having to turn an outer sleeve sideways to fit a record because it didn't fit in my oversized outer sleeves (12.75" wide with a half inch spine). thanks Sleep Token!

 

RCA did such a shitty job with this pressing, or at least the one I got.

 

oddly enough, the pressing looks and sounds fantastic. just irritated that the packaging doesn't fit in any conventional outer sleeve on the market.

 

The Jacket by Widowspeak has been one of those want-not-need records on my wantlist for a couple of years, randomly came across a copy at a local shop so I picked it up. Discogs reviews were disappointing so I was nervous, but my copy is unbelievably quiet. Feeling lucky to have waited and stumbled on a good copy

fun choice getting a guy who's already expressed his dislike of Sleep Token in a viral Stereogum piece from 2024 to review their new album as his second Pitchfork review, lmao

 

That Benson Boone line is an all timer. And dead on

For once I agree with a Pitchfork review. I just do not get the hype around that band.

 

Same. And I've tried too.

 

They aren't changing the world but they make catchy music (to my ears).

 

Ronald McDonald called them "metal for Disney adults" and I chuckled.

 

Got mine and agree that the final color is a little disappointing. Sounds great though and the oral history material was totally worth it.

Like people were talking about few pages back the Alternative Press review situation was hilarious. I only know Jonah Bayer from the How Did We Get Weird podcast, with how much he stans bands like Fallout Boy, Thursday and Motion City Soundtrack the Gatsbys hate seemed kinda irrational!
