color in color variants in an opaque base always turn out like that

color in color works best in a transparent base

So my stylus decided to check out for good yesterday. 2 years of constant spinning will do that.

RIP to the Ortofon 2m Silver that came with my X2.

Decided to go with the modest 2m Blue which I thought was a lateral move but damn. Breaking it in with Matt Nathanson's new one and it sounds absolutely amazing!

Also very stoked to see Matt again and the infamous Wheel of Song next week!

 

Matt’s going to be at my town’s local venue. It’s so rare we get anyone good there.

 

I once bought an Ortofon Blue and then promptly left it spinning in the dead wax of a record by accident for like 4 days straight while I was out of town. Like a genius. Like something a genius would do

 

He's so good live. I saw him for the first time a few years back. His stage banter is stuff of legends.

Yeah I mean I think of the times I'll spin something and fall asleep on the couch and I'm like whoospies!!

Just changed the belt on my vintage pioneer. It only took 3 minutes but felt like I was deciding which wire to cut on a bomb. Like if this doesn’t work no more spinny spinny for me. Now on to spin Bambi since it finally arrived today!

 

Thursday test pressing finally arrived. Geoff has horrible penmanship lol
