I've made it a decade, a few more months won't kill me... But I'm impatient

 

What led to this decision? I find myself buying less and less too and thinking about purging again

 

I’ve been doing well with selling a couple things on Discogs so far. I might get rid of a couple things I don’t particularly care for.

I also started an IG account that is intended for me to post one record a day from my collection for a year straight. Hopefully going through that will see me part with stuff I won’t listen to all that much.

To which one? I’m currently sitting on the IG handle for now. Haven’t had the motivation to do the daily posts as of now.

Nothing I want to get into too much here and it's not really catastrophic but basically I need the money lol

It has nothing to do with the vinyl directly, going through some of them yesterday and today and seeing that post above about Volcano (which I have on preorder) part of me really wishes I could keep them all.

I was doing daily vinyl posts, dwindled to once weekly, then to once monthly. Somewhere along the way I got shadowbanned on Instagram and it’s super hard to find motivation to post stuff for single digit likes. Definitely not saying that “amount of likes equals satisfaction”, but super disheartening going from 200+ likes per post to that. Just became less fun so I just post randomly now.

I’d say if you’re sitting on an IG handle, be careful posting too many hashtags and be strategic with your posts.

Happy 20th birthday!

 

I've got a plain black anniversary copy, but those are really pretty. Love when the record matches the art.

 

Ive got one of the 15th anniversary copies with the disc with the demos. But these new variants look sweet!

Just hoping someone like Craft (or whoever would repress a Sire Records release) represses Smile for Them so I can just have all the studio albums and move on with my day lol.

 

I feel like they've been celebrating the 20 year anniversary for 3 years, ha. That being said, I don't have it on vinyl and the slipcover is really cool.

 

Yeah that's simply gorgeous but unfortunately I already have the last anniversary pressing. However, the next time there's a good sale at EVR I will definitely look at picking it up.

 

I think I have the 10th anniversary variant. And with this not having any bonus material, while it looks cool, is an easy pass.

Kind of wished I waited for this version, instead of the previous release.

 

"Williamsburg" came on an Apple Music shuffle the other day. I'd love a repress for that record.

 

I'd rebuy both of those if Unoriginal Vinyl worked some magic like the did with The Satellite Years. Also a remix/remaster. I don't have the heart to let go of my 2017 pressing of it either. Since it's one of my all time favs (duh!)

Maybe I'll spin em those two bad boys when I get home from work. Lol
