One of my most prized records of all time - I have the translucent blue. The gatefold artwork is sublime.

Did anyone ever get that Glassjaw boxset? I saw the white variant recently came back in stock but I'm seeing reviews on Reddit that the quality was really bad and many people ended up with theirs damaged.

 

the box itself sucks, it’s made out of card stock or something, makes it near impossible to not dent and crease it just by normal handling. personally I am glad I bought it just to have normal pressings of the EPs and while I feel like MC sounds pretty good I thought EYEWTKAS and W&T sounded pretty lackluster. I definitely plan on getting other pressings of those two at least. the best part of the whole set for me was the book tho, it’s legitimately awesome imo.

 

Ah yeah the edition I see is the one that doesn't come with the book, so I'd assume the actual boxset is only big enough for the LPs as the wording on the deluxe boxset WITH the book says that box can actually fit the book.

ah okay now that you mention it I did buy the book separately, it definitely doesn’t fit in the packaging.

 

Are the black / white covers outside sleeves with the original artwork underneath or do they not have the original artwork on them?

 

no original art, no tracklists, no inserts or anything like that.

 

I don't think it comes with anything tbh. From reviews I've seen it's extremely bare bones. No insert or anything. Just the records.

Pretty much exactly what “playable” means here. They released a set for people who just want to listen to the music.

 

Kind of bummed that all the sleeves and such feel insanely thin on that.

i've had that happen before with other records. might be an extra label accidentally pressed on.

 

This has happened to me before too. Usually comes off easily if you're careful.

 

exactly. carefully lift up the center part of the bubbled label to see if there's an extra one underneath. if so, you can pull off the extra one if you go slowly, as it's probably only adhering to the outer edge of the label underneath (and not by much)

In all seriousness I'd pay for the stamp to ship that if you're not gonna keep it.

Put it between a couple of index cards. Just stay under the 1oz weight and a stamp will be fine.
