Bought 40 records in 2024. I think I sold around 10.

Im going to try really hard in 2025 to resist the urge to pre order, and instead wait for these crazy 50% off sales and digging through Target & UO clearance sections.

 

I bought 39 records this year, but I also sold a handful… probably like 10-15, so I’m pretty happy with that number

i don't think i wanna count how many records i bought this year. i'm just gonna tell myself most of them were sales on Urban Outfitters, Polyvinyl, etc to make myself feel better about it. (and completely disregard that one $80 record)

 

Finally got my setup put together today, loving it. I had 38 records without a turntable, so I'm well on my way.

 

Looks like I added ~110 records to the collection this year. About half were new 2024 releases, and maybe another quarter or so were older things pressed for the first time or repressed in 2024.

I already have most of my favorites from 2005 and 2015, but I'm sure there will be things that pop up that I have to buy haha

 

I finally got around to opening and playing my Butch Walker Letters vinyl, and I ordered the standard black but ended up getting one of the show-exclusive variants. Way cool.

 

That’s really cool. The record sounds fantastic.

 

uDiscover orders arrived today. Super quick. I couldn't be happier with them. Can't wait to show off my haul!

Still waiting on Sound of Vinyl order to ship, but I think Jan 2nd is the expected shipping date.

 

Looks like 60 albums added to collection this year in Discogs, but a good handful of those were bought in late 2023 and gifts. I did way better than the previous year. I think I “only”personally bought 2 records a month this year on average lol

Snagged the bundle with both records since I hadn’t picked up “Application” when it came out.

 

I may have made an offer on a record last night. And it was accepted overnight and I just paid for it. Does that count as my final 2024 or my first 2025? Haha

 

I’d say it counts when you take delivery. What did you get?

I bought only a couple new releases and some April RSD stuff after February, and yet I still managed to buy 118 records?! Yikes. That means I bought around 100 the first two months of the year. I definitely needed the change.

 

I guess it’s my first 2025 vinyl then haha

 

Currently spinning the new repress of dredg's El Cielo, and this is one of the best looking and sounding records in my collection. Glad it got another repress to fix the issues from last year's pressing, and if you're at all a fan of the band you need to track a copy down. Elusive Disk still had some last I checked.
